$$$Air Pots and Smart Pots Club$$$

i was saying i dont think so about a blue dream strain with the word mom in it... but yeah

The raised bed Airpot thing was about that tall as the one above, but its not a straight cylander like that, its an oval about 10 feet long and 4 feet wide. approxx.

I noticed. (About the mom part) Just didn't comment on it.

As far as the Air Pot oval you are talking about that's not what I was thinking after all.

Picture a pipe. Cut it in half. Lay the two sides on the ground with round side down. Basically I want to do that with a Air Pot. Take the two sides and put them together long ways. Making a long half circle trough.

I 'believe' that the product, Ben's Potato Tower, is available by the foot - the outside material with the holes. I'm almost positive about that.

You might have to look around the web but that's the actual name to search for.

pineydoobey-I see what you are saying.

and to whoever said something earlier about air pots being 2 half circles that you clasp together is wrong. its actually one flat peace that you wrap up than clasp together...

This would work better for the trough idea. Those Potato Tower's look pretty good size. The trough would have to use the biggest pieces available since it would be substantially shorter than an Air Pot configured the regular way.

Thanks

I believe that was me. I was trying to help people get an idea of what I was talking about. I was under the impression that they came in two parts. Was trying to say to use half of one.

The fact that they come in one piece is even better though. You can just fold it to a half circle and secure it somehow. (For the trough method that is) Less seams too. (I hate seams) (On anything)

Thanks

I don't think you could do the half circle cuz they are cut at a angle to make the circle I can't explain it really lol

Air Pots IMO since they last longer and are more sturdy so you don't disturb the roots when you pick up or move a plant ect.. I'm doing a mix of the 2 this next run and will be using Coco Not amended with VermiBlend and I was told I'll have explosive growth with it in either pot..

Coming from only opinion and not experience.....

I would vote Air Pots.

They seem easier to maintain, reusable, do wonders for the plant, and most importantly look like a space ship :)

Yeah guys.....she used to be a mom but got too big. She had supplied 1000s of babies by then so it was time to say goodbye! She was a beast so she wouldnt even fit in a 5g pot.

That potato thingy material looks perfect for outdoor growing! Could be very interesting with 5 foot wide beds with those containers! Thanks for the link!!

I would choose smart pots.

My buddy has some of both types of rocket pots. I'll try to get my hands on the square ones and post how they go.

I have both Smart Pots and Air Pots and my vote right now is Air Pots and unless the Smart Pots beat them in this next run I'm going to stick with Air Pots I like the bottoms getting air pruned and not sitting in run off...

Yea Scrub! Get them square ones and let us know cuz those as you would know would be great in my CFL cab! I've been wanting to use the Air Cells in there and flower 15-18 plants all at once and with those I have no doubt of pulling 7-10g per plant. I've been wanting to do this for a while I just gotta have the shop order them, I don't know why he didn't stock those too you'd think dude would've but he's just got 1gal 2gal 3gal and 5gal over there at J St Hydro Garden and the Smart Pots too and today I saw he had the 5 10gal ones and all sizes in between ..

I put my Smart Pots in trays filled with hydroton and these are setup to run off to another tray. The pic is from when I had 4 draining to one tray but now it is 2 per catch tray.

Interested in your side by side test with the Air Pots, should be a good show :joint:
