Rookie post bear w me lol..

The pics w the slight yellowing are at the bottom of the plant.

The pic w a large portion of the leaf margin brown and curled under on one side is near the tip of the plant. Mid-top of plant..

Hard to get pics of the whole plant they r tall

Most of the problem spots r at the bottom of the plant. And localized to the older fan leaves. Not the new growth

It is starting to progress higher up the plant in very minor ways showing in the older fan leaves only

These plants r being fed 1200ppm, cutting edge nutrients the entire line, and it's day 31. It's at least a 63 day strain. I plan to go about 74 days. If I don't move and it's possible to let em go longer I'll let em go for 77-84days

I would say you're feeding them too much. You're eventually going to feed them full strength every day? If I read that correctly in an earlier post, I would say thats a bad idea and you're going to lock up the roots in a heartbeat. If you're growing in soil, it is likely it contains some amount of nutrients in it already.

Have you checked out the KISS thread? https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=191645

Tons of great stuff in there. Keep things simple.

Good luck!

I've already grown this strain feeding every day full strength

To say the least a very advanced grower gave me the recipe... Cutting w enough perlite is key tho..

Last grow I cut w more perlite

This grow I cut w less perlite so I think my CEC isn't quite right and is giving me very minor issues

I feed most all my plants full strength once per day. Trust me lol :) My blue berry asked for MORE nitrogen even lol finished out beautiful beside the slight N deficiency

I have one strain that demands it be fed half strength tho thr blue knight

it does look like nutrient burn like the person above said. some strains and even phenotypes are more fussy than others, so read the plant and adjust according to its needs.

Ok so the first two pics are an AO plant that is at day 17. This plant got cut with less perlite. About 2-3" of perlite in thr bottom of the fifteen Gallon pot, mixed in w the promix of course. This plant is starting to show signs of problems sooner than the other 4 AOs that r at day 34. Also the signs on the plant at day 17 seem to be coming along more severely/rapidly. Buuuut, the symptoms r diff. The symptoms did not begin to show at the very bottom of the plant. It started to show in one younger leaf on a lower branch. And also an older leaf mid-low on the plant

The rest of the pics are the other 4 AOs at day 37. They got 3-4" of perlite in the pot, mixed in. All being fed the same, along w the day 17 AO

I'm almost starting to lean towards deficiency, I know this strain can handle full strength feeds everyday when enough perlite is added... it's how I was told to grow it lol.. so enough said there... buuut it IS a DIFF pheno seeing how I didn't get clone from him but seed....

My last AO grow I added about 5-6" of perlite. And around week 6 I began getting minor problems. A finally concluded that the problems were due to the plant drinking more than 1 gal water per day. Too much perlite/air causing it to feed to fast..?

So now I'm thinking, too little perlite and they can't fred quick enough?

Or maybe too little perlite, too MUCH salt build up??

Oh what a fun grow, learning learning from this one already :)

Thanks for reading and all the input everyone

Lil update so u guys know they're alive lol..

Leaning towards my cation ratio being too high. Seeing how I have not enough perlite. Or should I say a conservative amount of perlite. I've learned a lot this grow

I wouldn't put any perlite at the bottom of the pots personally ...

I do however mix 1 large bag of perlite per bale of promix ... maybe 1/3 or so

I would worry that the perlite is trapping excess nutes or affecting the roots in some way

Yeah, that's exactly what I am saying. I mixed in a lot less perlite than last time.

This is one my second time w thus strain..

So I'm concerned the excess peat, not perlite, is trapping a hair too much

My first grow, I feel I added too much perlite.

Which caused the plant to drink more than one gallon per day.

Do u have experience feeding everyday full strength in a peat mix cut w extra perlite like u are referring to?

I use the pots as my measuring device for the perlite.

Seeing how I do not use a bale at a time. I use half a bale at once, at most.

Def no perlite in the bottom of the pots it's all mixed in with the promix

Appreciate the reply :)

Sorry I misunderstood...

Yes I feed full strength ( EC 1.8. - 2.0) in pro mix with perlite ... water feed water feed ...

raven44

It's all good no worries

I do a feed, feed, feed, feed, feed, never plain water unless I run into a major issue

Most my plants like the feed feed feed schedule so long as I've added enough perlite to the promix ive noticed.

If I don't have enough perlite, I've noticed two things. 1) the plants won't drink one gallon every day in a fifteen gallon pot as targeted. 2) the plants may get slight cation build up due to slight excess if peat

If I add too much perlite, the plants may drink more than one gallon per day as targeted. Which will also cause problems ime. Which are not fully understood by me yet. However they're expressed as a nutrient disorder lol...

I aim to feed one gallon each day. Some strains that don't eat as much I still feed every day but I feed then at half strength to accommodate

Thoughts on this pic would be appreciated

This is the one agent orange plant that got put into flower a few weeks after the other four that are the furthest along..

She's at week 4.5-5

From the looks of it I would say it is nutrient burn and/or heat stress. Is it happening all over, or just the bottom? Is it spreading to the sugar leaves or just the fan leaves? I know my Agent Orange cut will turn yellow if you look at her wrong.

Lol she's a bit finecky but not too bad

Only the middle of the plant is affected. It mainly only that leaf honestly at this point.

It's the older fan leaves higher up on the branch that's mid-low level on the plant.

I don't think it's heat stress due to the fact that the pics are far away from the light. And the leaves closer to the light aren't affected in a heat stressed manner
