Great progression and synopsis! Thanks for growing out NUMBSKULL! Pretty bulbous pics, too. Mmmm!

77 days of AfterthoughtAutos Numbskull Auto Test grow

77 days of AfterthoughtAutos Numbskull Auto Test grow

After only 77 days these girls are plump for the picking.:canabis:
I generally favor photoperiods, but Numbskull Auto will be in my collection for a long time. 11 weeks and the results are amazing, as seen. To get such a yield in about 3 months is impressive. :tiphat:
The ladies are fat, hard and beautiful.
I had to measure bud circumference.
#1, the taller one, is sporting a 4” long top cola, measuring 7” around.:sumo:
Lower branch top colas uniformly 5” around. Aroma is mild. Still reminds me of a hint of vanilla and floral. Nice and resinous.
#2 top cola has grown into 1 long 8” top. These are longer and a bit more narrow. Top cola is 5 1/2” around, while lower tops consistently 4 1/2”.
Tric’s still have a little ways to go, and she’s still throwing some white hairs.
Getting close:trampoline:

80 days & Harvest for Numbskull by AfterthoughtAutos

80 days & Harvest for Numbskull by AfterthoughtAutos

Let’s discuss Numbskull by AfterthoughtAutos.

What a great plant to test and grow from germination to harvest in only 80 days.
Great structure to both plants and lucky that I happen to grow two different types. One tall, 30 inches, and spaced out beautifully allowing for light to penetrate all angles.:peacock:
The other girl about a foot shorter, she makes up in girth/density of her buds. :bis: It’ll be interesting to compare the weight once they’re trimmed next week.
Their aroma is very pleasant that I could only best described as floral. It’s not so pungent that your neighbors will ask what you’re growing in your garden.:canabis:
The bud structure is very dense, hard and just the right size for my liking. I’ve given them nothing but water, two times a week.
Looking forward to the smoke report.
I’m glad I still have two more girls hanging in the wings, with 11/26 & 12/1 germ dates

Yes, NUMBSKULL is making a splash with our current event, numerous orders sold. Balanced CBD:thc, and helping and assortment of maladies. Yet, to me, I can stay focused while NUMB!

Yesiree, Scrog has grown a nice strain. KUDOS goes to him!

no doubt! scrog did a great job growing out these plants and i enjoyed reading his report
the plants look great and it looks like a fun smoke

on the first picture you can see some variation in pheno, (with one large and one smaller plant) but it bet they are pretty similar, especially in end effect
/some growers would love that smaller one, especially when overhead space is an issue; while others would want to grow out the larger one
cant wait to hear how they smoke
/also, often these type plants just get better with time when aged correctly

5 days and slow drying Numbskull

5 days and slow drying Numbskull

Hopefully this time I’ll be able to post some pictures that are not upside down:bow:
Who’s the Numbskull...
I walk into the room and smell earthy, floral sweet aromas.
Give the buds a little squeeze and all sweet smells. :lurk:
Smaller pheno buds are more dense and solid, so far, vs her taller sis.
Both structures have nice spacing ‘tween branches for drying. Conditions have been ideal with humidity 48-54, and temps in low 60’s.
Days of drying still to go

That scratch and sniff square wore out. Ha! I got earthy, almost faint oregano on the nose (wine lingo) with Numbskull's preened for seeds.

6 full days of hanging Numbskull

6 full days of hanging Numbskull

Holy crap, in the immortal words of Frank Barone.
5 full days of drying as a full plant + 1 full day of each branch hanging on the clothes line might be 1 day early, but it’s NFL Championship Sunday vs tomorrow’s work day, so easy call.
Tall girl #1 produced lotsa great sized buds & surprisingly very, very little fluffy buds, and I did no lollipop-ping or defoliating. Buds are a skush more fluffy than her sister and irregular in structure. Aroma is a very pleasant, non-pungent flowery, tropical, fruity smell. Stickiness lead to a nice sized ‘booger ball’ from the scissor. FANTASTIC YIELD OF 82g’s.:bis:
Shorter girl #2 clearly had very symmetrical bud structure that trimmed up beautifully.
Buds are dense and aroma is stronger than her taller, more vivacious sister.:bigeye: IMPRESSIVE YIELD OF 58g’s in only 80 days from germination.
Initial Mason jar cure settled in at 71%, so I’ve been playing with it today to get it at the 69% my target on the first night. Plan is to burp daily until it gets down to the low 60s, then weekly, targeting 30 days from harvest before taste testing and providing a smoke report :smoker:. I usually lose 10-15% when cured, so let’s see.
Numbskull was A LOT of fun in only 80 days from germ, 85 from soak. Lotsa ROI. I haven’t even sampled yet, but can easily highly recommend it. :tiphat:

While Numbskull from Afterthought Autos continues to cure nicely, burping away, Rnd 2 is going strong. :dance013:
11/26 germ is in a 5 gal bucket, while the 12/1 is is a 4 gal. I’ll use the midpoint for the 2, so we’ll call this the 9th week. You can see they have similar phenos and are filling out nicely. :artist:
I can see Numbskull doing very well in gardens with veggies and flowers. :thank you:

I can't wait to run some autos , I think it suits my growing ability and personality.

I think you already bought seeds. Get them going/growing indoors and think of us as an afterthought!! ;o)

In the USA unless in NE/midwest, you can start autos in mid-April - early May and germinate every 4-5 weeks until last planting in mid to late August. It's called successive gardening.

Succession planting is the practice of seeding crops at intervals of 7 to 21 days in order to maintain a consistent supply of harvestable produce throughout the season. Succession planting also involves planting a new crop after harvesting the first crop.

Good luck!
