I think ngakpa brings up a good point about the seperation bewtween genetics and the man selling them. Afropips was very unprofessional, and also did not present much good knowledge and reasoning when criticizing other breeders. Case in point: the way he treated ACE seeds and their Malawi line. Being unprofessional in an unregulated industry is rightfully damning. When i buy from a breeder, I extend a huge leap of faith that what i am getting is actually something valuable. If I know that that breeder is an unprofessional dick, then i rightfully should not trust him to have provided me with something credible in terms of genetics.
Having said that, I did do a semi grow if his malawi 99, and it was very special, especially in the visual department when eaten after cooked in oil at low heat. It had to be harvested very early though due to tap water/PH problems during a vacation, and i only grew a single plant. I am also rather new to many special sativa varieties as i have been smoking mainly duch and Columbian red type downer swag my whole life. Perhaps with more comparison and experience, I would have been less enthusiastic about it. But i loved the unique effect. I now believe the hype about THCV I must say.
I am growing a seedman malawi now that is very vigorous as well as some ACE Seed Bangi Haze, some John Sinclair (also ACE/Cannabiogen genetics in it), and a beautiful Caribe. When they will be ready, I will have a better comparison of the variety of sativa highs that I am growing to love. I also plan to grow a Malawi mini at some point, and I have some power Malawi’s waiting.
