ElRubio, you sure that's the Roja and not the Verde? From what I remember of LMN's postings, the Roja's had really thin leaves compared to the Verde's.
Whatever the case, they look killer! :D

I have the same Verde cross I hope to drop before yr's out. :smoke:
I hope you keep posting for inspiration!

Hola Paz, may i ask how long does it take to flower the Malawi from Afropips? How was the smoke? Do you sugest any particular crosses to be made with the Malawi? I am growing a clone at the moment, i killed the mother at 14 weeks, way too early i know, but i'm still waiting for a nice smoke to come after a proper cure :joint:

Hey all;;; nice picx thx for share friends
i had bad luck with my swazis (males & hermies), but now i´ve new ladys in my heart hehehe:

very best vibes and wishes.....::))))

Hey bro too bad about the Swazi's.
Those ArxB are looking great. So chunky flowers already. I really like the look of this cross and from what I've seen, you'll get some nice solid sativa nugs.
Always great to see LMN crosses.

PazVerdeRadical, that Swazi is looking very nice. How much longer you think?

Here are mine. Supper cropping/topping with lst has given good results so far. Intersting to see they have maintained the light colour.

hello everyone :)

i feel like i must apoligize for not updating the progress of the swazis, by the start of april things got real busy...

el gordo, the swazis have been harvested already, dried them and smoked them with almost no cure :D it was good :joint: it would have been great with a long cure though.

el rubio, very nice angola x banghi :joint: did you make f2s?

stoned16, how r those seedlings doing by now?

ponde, your descriptions makes want to buy a pack of those, but i am broke...

moses, d-loading that pdf now, thanks

bean, man, i am sorry, was not able to take pictures of the end, and they are already gone up in smoke...

highlighter, gotta pop those angolas x banghis! :joint:

cinderalla99, as already said, they finished, got dried and smoked without a proper cure, it was very nice regardless, but well cured bud is prefered no doubt. i like the swazis a lot, and work even better as a parent to a hybrid.

van, the malawi and swazi flower long, the malawi can be flowered for as long as 120-140 days, and the swazi can be picked as early as 90 days. there are earlier phenos in the malawi to be found too.
what i found is that the malawis from afropips, although described by the breeder as spicy, here they have a very fruity bubblegum smell and taste, very nice herb imo, but needs full maturation and a good cure, it is not a devastatring high though, neither the swazi nor the malawi are, they have nice taste, smell and effect, the malawi is more clear of a high than the swazi. once, i crossed a female colombian sativa to a couple of very vigorous and carrot smelling swazi males, the resulting plants were very good and vigorous, strong high, with cat piss smell, some phenos had the carrot though.
now i am growing another cross where i used two malawi females as mothers and two colombian cripi males as fathers, growing just one plant of the resulting hybrid now, christmas shape tree, with orange pistils, will take pics later hopefully.

african herbman, greetings man :) those swazis are gonna do great, how much r u feeding them? how is your experience with planting in ceramic bowls like those? here they get too hot and stress the roots.

peace all, be good

Thanks for the fantastic Swazi shot, Herbman. Please keep us up to date on the progress. Is that one of Jim's? It seems like there are more incarnations of Swazi than just about any other "landrace" or "true breeding" strain that I've ever heard of.

Variation w/in this strain makes sense in terms of SA Darayl's (sp?) observations of dozens of types of "Swazi" growing in close proximity as he walked through the villages. I wonder which one(s) Jim's breeder chose to inbreed.

Paz, thank you for the update on the final product. It seems like a good cure could have potentially brought something special out.

I've heard and read great things about the Malawi (with the one exception, I think of BH's experience), so I know that one's "a keeper". And, we're all aware of the Durban's prowess, regardless of whether we're talking about the Cali-Dutch version or the current local Lesotho version. But, for some reason, I just can't find a lot of info on the Swazi. It seems to be sort of a generic and much varied weed in SA (like "Kush" in SoCal) with lots of local availability: Durban and Malawi seem to be exported to Europe more, as they are perceived as more powerful/potent. That's why I'm interested in the Swazi here.

Although that Ar x B has been looking exceptionally good: It seems to conform more to my western cultivated desire for instant gratification and dutch bred resin bomb appreciating sensibilities ;-) I can't wait to see how that one shapes up.

Also, does anybody know if Dubi has any plans to produce more Bangi Haze? I think he said he was at the F6 with the last batch.

PS, Ponde, I thought you were joking about a highly potent strain of weed called "Tribal Vision" in one of your earlier posts, but now I see. It looks killer and looks to be a practical poly-hybrid as well, (stress induced) nanners and all.

hello everyone :)...

ponde, your descriptions makes want to buy a pack of those, but i am broke...

Aw man, hope that changes soon. I'd sure love to have access to some of that pure Swazi, myself.

I discovered a healthy little crop of Tribal Vision x Tribal Vision seeds along the stem and lower buds of my latest TV harvest. Her nascent preflowers got a good dusting from her brother before I took him out of the room. I hesitate to call them F2's, that can't be the case. They're (F1xF1)x(F1xF1). That's a big ass Punnet square, I'm not even going to try it. I wonder what I'll find inside?

Hey Ponde, bro, I just want you to know that I tried to get an answer to your excellent question regarding Tribal Vision S1's and what you might get: I posted the question in the below "Growers forums" under the CS thread by Pheno that begins with "Yayyy!..." Peace out.

Cinderella99 - They're not S1's, the Tribal Vision female got pollinated the old fashioned way by a Tribal Vision male. I had him in my flowering room with the females, I was watching him closely in order to remove him before his flowers opened, and I swear 8 of them popped open in the space of like 2 hours, and he pollinated everything. Thankfully it was just a few weeks into that flowering cycle, and all my females still packed on plenty of weight, but everything got seeded to some degree. Especially this one Power Plant IBL that was right next to the male - I got hundreds of seeds out of that plant. Oh well, some of the best plants have come from accidental pollination. The stamens didn't appear on the Tribal Vision female until just before harvest, so she didn't seed herself - the seeds were all along the inside of the lower branches, the oldest flowers on the plant.

ElRubio - beautiful work. Those Malawhai flowers are just stunning, I'd love to have those genetics in my garden.

You have convinced me Paz and i have just ordered a pack of Afropips Swazi's, as for the Malawi it's my lady's favourite smoke even if it was cut at only 14 weeks and it is not properly cured yet. It is a very productive plant for sure, i am flowering a clone at the moment and i imagine all sorts of crosses for seeds, i will definitely dust her with some Guawi polen when the time comes... I have a question for you :D if anyone is familiar with
I got some seeds from an old grower from Mauricius, the smallest seed i have seen in my life :D 5 put in soil 5 germed :D
What should i expect? They seems 100% sativa and they will grow indoor. Should i prepare my box for 6 months flowering :D

Nice to see those african ladies still growing all!

I've been taking a brake from growing because of unfortunate situations with the police. I didn't feel like looking at all these wonderful sativa pictures after I was legally stolen my ethiopian highlands, mazar i shariffs and malawi golds after 4 months of 12/12. Not to mention my seedcollection and clones.. :fsu:

I have to say the malawi was a real pleasure to grow. They budded faster than I had expected and I had two phenos. The faster being a non branching spear type beauty and the other more branchy. Both had deep green leaves and calyxes coated in resin. I will definitely grow the strain again when I move to a move grower friendly contry.
