Hi guys I am putting together a smoking fishing Safari to central southern Africa. Namely Zambia, Malawi and short incursions into Mozambique (Northern) and Angola (south eastern).
Taking in mind blowing trips to victoria falls, barotse flood plain, Kariba dam, Cabora basa dam, Zambezi and, kafue rivers just to name a few.
Its still in the planning/booking phase so very flexible at the moment.
Finishing up on lake Malawi. The fishing will be all with professional guides and staying in the best accommodation with all food ect.
Although some areas are so remote it will be safari tents.
You will need a budget of 25 grand US.
The planned time is September/October it will be hot and we will be in undeveloped areas that are prime cannabis producers at the time of year when the cobs are around 3 to 4 months old.
Seeds will be collected, any takers because I am going, unless I drop dead from excitement first. PM me.

Hi Tangwena. I am sorry, I'm too poor.

This sound interesting:

African Seeds - Kariba Surprise
Aka: Zimbabwe

The sun sets over the mightly Zambezi river, a fish eagle dips majestically over the water, a herd of elephant join buffalo to drink, in the distance a lion roars. Here in one of Africas last Edens live the Butoka people. Untouched by civilisation, uninfluenced by government they have continued their culture of growing and smoking for many centuries. Plants heaviliy branched, tall, long red and white haired buds up to 2ft long. High THC, CBD absent. Energetic, electric high. Prefers hot outdoor conditions with plenty of water. Very mould resistant.

Flowering Period Outdoors: 10-14 weeks (condition dependent)
Height: 3-4 m (9-12 ft)
Yields: 20-30 oz (600-1000 gr)

Greetings, I wish you enjoy the trip :tiphat:

Hi my friend I am very familiar with the area, all the people living alongside the Zambezi river are very old cultures and have been growing cannabis for thousands of years.
There are some very powerful genetics all along the river, that is why I am fishing there.
From eastern Angola, Zambia and finally northern Mozambique the zambezi has spread the seeds. There are highlands and low sweaty jungles and all the different genetics you could dream of.

If you go to Zimbabwe don't forget to grab a collection of those valuable Zim dollars currency. I cannot imagine what would happen if they recover their former value

Ha Ha its even too rough for for toilet paper , and clogs up the drains. Zimbabwe is a bit of a mess at the moment but Zambia, Malawi and to a lesser degree Mozambique are fairly safe if you use discretion.
That map shows the diverse terrain its no wonder the cannabis is so good.
On the map below cabora basa is Tete the area has some of the most full on hallucinogenic weed I have ever had and is not well known.
Around Lake Kariba you can get sticky red buds a match box for a couple of dollars, but the really strong weed is in Malawi in the north of the lake, but if you have the right contacts you can get a selection of the best from all over the country without leaving your house on the shore of lake Malawi.
Thats my kind of scoring make the mountain come to you, rather than climb the mountain.
I just would not be able to grow them all so hence the distribution.

Zimbabwe has been the subject of a long propaganda campaign and economic sanctions, due to the fact that they have lots of diamonds in the Chiadzwa and Marange diamond fields. However the currency issue was solved 8 years ago when the state went on the US dollar. Long story.

It is very safe to travel to, and 2014 saw 1,880,028 tourist arrivals. (Google: zimbabwe's tourist arrivals theindependent zw)

Even Bill Gates takes his family there for Christmas.

Good to know, I am out of touch, I have some contacts in Harare I may look them up, the last time I was there was 10 years ago, things change, but until Mugabe and his followers leave the people are fucked.

Are you going to skip South Africa?

still great stuff to be found in the Transkei.

the journey from S.A up to Malawi thru Swazi and Mozambique is beautiful and lots of seeds to collect along the way. I did it about ten years ago. I then worked my way back to S.A thru Zambia and Zimbabwe. Super budget style, local transport the whole way, but an awesome adventure!

I wish I could pull the money together to do it again. would love to do it traveling in style.

You are going to a have a great trip!

much respect

Hi GK you are lucky to have done that trip, your way would be my prefered option if I was younger, but time and energy are not on my side any more.
Africa is a magic place and a life time is not long enough to experience all it has to offer.
This is my last gasp effort I think ha ha.

I agree Africa is a magical place! But forget Morocco.

Subsaharan countries are more well suited.

Tete seems very interesting :D

This is what I read about the around the area. The gigantic Congolese would be interestng if that was true.

New Strains

Follow our adventures as our team travels into some of the remotest parts of Southern Africa to meet with traditional growers and tribal elders in search of new and exotic strains for our seed bank.

Upcoming Features
1. We journey down the Zambezi Valley to meet the Butoka people to learn about their centuries old art of cannabis growing.
2. To northern Zambia where cannabis grows freely amongst manioc and maize. Rumour has it that the buds are so ripe with resin, they are ready to pop.
3. To the DRC (Formally Zaire) – Africa’s heart of darkness. Here the plants are reputedly as big as banana plants with seeds like peach pips. Wracked by civil war the country may be down but the cannabis and people certainly aren’t.
4. To hilly Makondi country is northern Mozambique, where wood carving and ganja smoking are as old as civilisation its self.
5. We trek deep into the mountains kingdom of Lesotho following the ancient ganja trails. Getting stoned at 10000 ft gives a new meaning to getting high. Natural selection has played its role here – plants are short and stocky, buds juicy. Seeds used to hardship grow well with kindness.
6. Madagascar a cross road of Asia and Africa. Here we find evidence of the first African Indica varieties. We set out to find them and return with a precious seed stock

Greetings.

Hi my friend unfortunately no, I had it all ready to book and was set to go, when my wife whispered in my ear " your too bloody old for all this shit". I thought about it and remembered some of the things I had done to score when I was younger and the people and places I would have to see and go. The kind of gangsters i would be dealing with and the fact I am 63 and thought "ah yes an easy mark". It was ok when I was 20 or 30 I could handle most situations but not now.
To get the stuff i wanted I would have to go off the beaten track and deal with some pretty shifty kind of people.
So i took the safe option and chucked a couple of Aces finest into the tent and alls good.
It would have been a blast but on my own hundreds of kilometers from any where and the only thing between a thief and your wallet is your life, its a pretty easy choice.
It would have been ok with a group but not alone.

discretion is the better part of valor.

I believe that we at times have "a pass". one day "the pass" is revoked. I've personally seen this in my life and in the lives of close friends. how many reading this post reminisce and say to themselves "how did I ever get away with all that shit I pulled?". :)

the answer imo although it's contrary to western culture upbringing is that we "had a pass".

smart move following you and your wife's intuition/common sense.
