Reminds me a lot of Zambian copper.

Awesome thread! I have tried two strains that originated straight from African seeds, one Nigerian and the other Congolese. Very different qualities but super potent and extremely long natural photoperiods haha. Sweet and earthy!

Hi can you tell us more about the Congo?

Hi to everybody.

If you have pure non hybridized Congolese seeds from Africaseeds you are blessed.

I was looking for the Congo Fever since about 2003 but it is impossible to find.

I have read that the seeds are huge (as peach pips, bit I think that it is a bit exagerated :D ) and the plants too, extremly tall with the biggest leaves you can find, and a very strong pscychedelic high.

Best regards.

I heard the same about Congo, and yeah its very rare.
I remember that card supplied with African seeds, I dont think most of the more exotic ones ever got released...

Hi everybody

I asked about the Congolese when I saw a growshop for first time, a few years ago. They told me that about a few months earlier they sold seeds from a pure Congolese strain. I think that it was from African Seeds. They told me that the seeds were big but not as big as peach pips :D But they didn't sell them anymore because the highly unconstant supply. They only had Rooibart in stock but the seeds were expensive and I wanted the Congolese.

I think that nobody reproduced or even finished that strain.

If you don´t have a friend living in the Democratic Republic of Congo is almost impossible to find pure Congolese.

I got 5 seeds some years ago, suposedly directly from DRC, but they didn't sprout. I think that they were very old or ruined due to the fermentation process of the weed.

I found some people with Congolese plants, but they eliminated the males and don't reproduced the pure strain. They only made crosses with indicas or any hybrid strain. IMO it's a pity.

I have lost all hope to find some non hybridized and viable seeds.

Best regards.

I grew the swazi, it was excellent although I only harvested immature buds due to weather, I would defo try again if I had seeds.

As for congo lines I think Ace holds some but they dont seem to be for sale, I have some double congo somewhere which is a hybrid of 2 congo landraces - the congo black and congo point noire.

Hallo old Icmag friends, and new ones!
Have recently been blessed some pure landraces from malawi near the dwangwa river, close to where strainhunters stayed. A friends brother has been doing some work on farms up there for a few years, and fortunately sent back some seeds: A pure malawi gold and a black, supposedly carefully selected from the best of the best, exciting stuff. Some good crosses should come out of them if all goes well!

That is a beautiful part of the world right there. I passed through there earlier this year on the way to Chinteche and got to see some small scale grows around there, but apparently the best stuff comes from around Dwangwa. I wish I had the balls to take the seeds on the plane with me. The first three pics are somewhere between Chinteche and Nkhata and the last one is on the actual beach of the lake. It so fertile there you would even see feral plants coming up on the side of the road.

Yep got quite a few pics from the African trip. Unfortunately I wasn't there in autumn so no bud shots. Nice looking Gambians there very narrow leaves on those, let us know what they smoke like?

This is on the road just by the police commissioners house. I think that seed may have come from else where as it doesn't have the typical narrow leaf formation that the local Malawian stuff seemed to have but who knows

Further south in Lesotho. No idea if this is a local variety though
