Hey Jingles,this is Sensi's right?
I'm doing this one also right now...
I'm letting them get big to flower..
How was the initial stretch like when switching to 12/12?
How is the trichome coverage and odor?
Thanks and good luck!
Take care..........................CC
hi cript, the two phenos i had were both different. one just doubled in size but the other stretched like fook and if left unattended would have grown to 10 feet. the larger plant also decided to do a banana republic on me so i culled her early. there is lots of resin all over but the smell is not overpowering like it says in the description. yours may differ from these as these seeds were first purchased in 95 or 96.
Hey Capt....we are runnuing these also. They were vegged until they got around 18", soil. Each transplant was stairsteped and they are now in 7 gal. The stretch has been at least double. They look like they might finish close to, if not a little more than 5' The vigor they display is amazing. We seem to have a very homogenous crop, they all look like the same clone. My partner likes BOG's style of growing, so these started flowering very hot...and they just loved it. FF OF soil slightly modified with a little Bone and Blood Meal, 3/4 cup to gal Big Bloom 1st watering, vitB, LK. Their odor level isn't too bad but we are also running some stinky shit; SnoCap, SD IBL, Straw D and a few Kushes. But I'll tell ya...these Af's are the nicest looking plants in the room.
Thanks fellas!
I should have run them in soil...I am just so ready to get my feet wet again...I'm not switching everything over but plan to split it up about 50/50...I have several smaller rooms now instead of 2 big ones..
Thanks for the info on how they grow,smell,ect...I figured something was up when they had a lower odor for a pure indi...I really thought they would have a wider leaf also...
I'm also doing there Northern Lights...Also in water...The leaves on this strain were extra-wide early on but have since narrowed quite a bit...Also a lower odor indica but this was expected...
Wanted to also let you guys know that I'm running the BCSC Afghani also but the are just large seedlings at this point....Soil!
These are very uniform and have fairly fat leaves...They are supposed to be (F5) I think it is........Actually called Afgaan Dream.....At least we will have something to compare the Sensi offering to......
I'll get a link to the thread in here soon........
Take care and thanks for the flower pics and info,,,much much appreciated.............................CC
CZer,
I have a few slow growes also...A few looked to be having uptake problems while the ones beside it were growing perfectly!Strange....Some are extremely vigorous and some not so much...
yes i was surprised also...in veg leaves were wide..in early bloom, they changed and were less wider.
it was the same for an afghani landrace i've done after...
in veg
in bloom
Very delicious looking Afghani you got there. The Afghani#1´s that I have seen lately(2000-stock & after it, are all looking quite different )
I must ask friend if he got some pic´s, because they were all very compact & stout plants that didn´t stretch too much!!! Hmm... The budformation looks quite same still... Dont know?.?.? Nice plants as allways!!!
Take care!!!
Keep It Green & Growing But Don´t Forget The Smokin!
Peace Out Growers!
The leaves were much wider early on but have since narrowed down..
I figure this is the plants way of allowing light to penetrate to lower levels...
It does carry the Afi odor but I expected much wider leaves throughout the grow cycle......
The Northern Lights seems very similar but you can see slight differences..I forgot to mention that I'm also doing their G13 X Hashplant...But these are still seedlings...
hi all, tried a small bud that i pulled off at six weeks and the high was quite nice with an instant eye droop then followed by a nice relaxed feeling. overall im impresed and cant wait to try her at full maturaty, i will get some better pics up asap.
an update on my ghanis pulled at 8 weeks, the hit is really high to begin with and then mellows into a nice head stone that doesnt fuck you up, concentration is not affected until you stop what you are doing and then your fucked.. very nice taste that leaves a lingering taste on your tongue. the exhaled smoke hangs heavy in the atmosphere and has a rich smell. the dry seived hash she produces is awesome with that old hashy taste we have all grown to love.
Jingles - my mouth is watering mate! Tasty! Though I'm afraid I can't concur on the rolling baccy...I need a compressor to help me smoke spliffs with rollups! I'm a Woodbine man...when I can find them...failing that, Piccadilly's and Senior Service make a tasty alternative - even harder to find though...
I'm probably committing a heinous sin even mentioning baccy here though...
