AF DRO for Dummies: Can he do it?!

Hey all. Done dro with AF a number of times, a few good ones, a few bad ones. Usually though, I do too little and then compensate and do too much, or vice versa. I'm going to try a very metered, middle-of-the-road approach this time. Four 3.5 gallon reservoirs, 4 FEM Lowryder #2 seeds, netcups, perlite, 150WHPS, DWC. Let's see what happens. Starting at 10% Lucas Veg formula.

Sorry I didn't update this in forever, my life has just been hectic, and I really didn't have the time to devote to keeping a log. I did snap some pictures, and record what levels I kept them at.

So, I couldn't do all perlite, it just floated away, I replaced with hydroton. Up until day 7, they were both on a about 10% lucas veg formula (1.75ml / gal micro, 3.5ml bloom), until day 16 they were on 25% (1tsp micro / gal, 2tsp bloom). Once i hit 21 days I hit them with full strength lucas veg formula (5ml micro, 10 ml bloom), which was probably a bit too soon, probably should have hit 50% then 100% at 30 days. But they came through without too much damage. I did supercrop the bigger one, it actually seemed to hurt the yield, probably won't do it again but I felt i needed to stall the vertical growth in the tv cab.. The real issue came when they outgrew my TV cab, which necessitated building a growroom out of a closet. The 150W HPS was switched out with a 250W, and at 45 days both the 250 aND 150 were in operation. There was some leaf damage from growing to close to the light before the transition. Anyway, around 45 days I upped the bigger one to 100% lucas bloom formula (8ml micro /gal, 16ml bloom), and kept the smaller one at 100% veg. During the final 15 days I topped them up with only plain water.

Triches were about 10% amber at 70 days when I chopped them. The bud on the bigger girl is kind of fluffy, probably do the supercropping. The smaller girl foxtailed ALOT, much thicker buds. Overall I'm satisfied with the yield, it could have been better, but it's adequate. Both were VERY leafy. Might have been my fault though lst'ing them so much. The smell is overpowering. We'll see how the smoke is...
