Aerogarden seed starting problems

Aerogarden seed starting problems.
Every time I try to start a cannabis seed in the seed pod. It dies right after the root sprouts. Before it even has a chance to open the shell all the way.
What do I gotta do to get the seeds to sprout properly? Do I gotta sprout the seeds in a glass of water first or something. I'm tired of wasting my good uk cheese seeds.
At the beginning of last year , I was able to get a seed to sprout and grow all the way through flowering, But now every time the seed dies before it fully sprouts.

If your seed is dying after the tail sprouts it's most likely drying out. Let the sponges soak for 24 hours, then sow the seed.

Yes.

The seed pod was getting plenty of water. I think it was getting too much water.
