I got to try a pretty cool thing in Oregon a few years back.. living in the Portland area..

Guy had a bubbler.. basically a tree perc beaker.. but the bottom half of the beaker was missing.. and it was round.. so like a bubble if you will.

He also had a pair of long glass wands with flat paddles at the end.. you could heat the ends up with the torch or over the stove.. then put your hash or whatever right on the paddle.. cover with the other.. and hot knife right from those wands into a bubbler/bong/tube that was filled with ice..

It was a pretty rad system.. and wow.. lol.. in a pinch? You could do this in the wilderness. Loved it.

Knife hits! we use a broken bong stem and two butter knives. works good for crappy hash. just drop a piece on the heated knives and press together sucking through the stem.

Hard to do with anything sticky though.

The wife just reminded me that solar hits are the BEST way. Magnifying glass and a sunny day. Oh the slow slow bubble.

i guess the only thing better would be lunar hits, full moon and a magnifying glass the size of trash can lid...

Yeah we used to do solar rips quite often.. and I will say that I got more baked on those than anything else, almost.

There's a hole in the middle of the nail, unlike a conventional one.

It heats from the edges in.

Smoke a half bowl of weed. Crumble/break couple pieces hash atop, quick light to cherry, and enjoy. Prefer out of bowl, but usually smoke it out of bong

I prefer a low temp dab -stirred a bit- in a full sized bong.
Leaves a little chunk of carbon, but tastes awesome

When I use a screen and beeline, the taste is always a bit waxy/smoky

I like a clean roor bong or my si pipes bubbler. Sometimes I dab ice wax on my nail, but I think the best flavor is had from a small, thinly pressed piece of full melt shish on top of some chron.

Bump.. have switched from using a tiny bit of bud to a screen and I do like the way it smokes, but it leaves something to be desired.. I dunno?

I almost prefer the melt on buds still.. hmm..
