adding sugar???

i was just going through this book and theres a pic of 2 buds..
under it says "adding sugar during the last 6 weeks augmented harvest weight of the bud on the right by 20%."

sounds intruiging but i cant find any other info on the subject. in the past ive heard of people injecting the plant itself with sugar but im not really down with that..

can anyone help me out on this???

you dilute sugar in water to feed it to the plants. i think the postman uses 'sucunat'

sugars are carbohydrates(energy) for the plant, thats why people feed their plants molasses during flowering, or additives like Carboload. i think molasses has a good natual npk for flowering, as well as some important micros? someone correctme

I would never add sugar but 1 tablespoon of blackstrap molasses per gallon of water in the last 3-6 weeks if supposed to help greatly....It is a organic additive thats supposed to make your bud bigger and taster. Concidering molasses is used in guono tea's and is supposed to provide pottasium and other nutrients. Even when your flushing in the last 2 weeks you can provide some important nutrients with blackstarp molasses. I would say it can't make it taste any worse......

sugar is a simple carb.

molasses is made up of complex carbs. now google.

just like in humans, carbs cause bulking. why are Americans so overweight? sugar. look at all the packaged food. corn syurp and sugar in almost everything. keeping you fat at every meal. in my soil grows i use 4tbl sp. per gallon. keeps the ladies fat. so many more benifets i'm not even going to try to type them all, my fingers would fall off.

in tea's it's used as food for carbohydriate based bactirea. bactreia is either a protien based, or a carb based life. molasas feeds.

At 4 tblsp per gallon, molasses kills. At least it did in my case, I upped the dosage from 1 tblsp per gallon to 2 tblsp per gallon in the final flush stage and drowned some fully matured girls. I think that it was just too thick.

I lowered my dosage to 1 tsp per gallon every watering after that, no issues.

thats what im saying it also is complex carbs a few others on this sight use it regulary too. its 100% pure & unrefined also contain trace vitamins & minerals as molasses does aswell. i have also tryed pure maple syrup but honey is more sweet.you cant go wrong with either choices but molasses & honey have more vitamin & mineral value + sweetness.

i use pure crystalized cane sugar-unbleached at 2 tbsp.per gallon of water the last 4 weeks of flower,and i use Sweet for the first 4 weeks.works out well 4 me

I thought the theory on molasses was that it feeds the soil microbes, so they thrive, multiply, and break down other nutrients for the plant to use.

But theories aside, my plants like it. One teaspoon per gallon!

Well I have been using Molasses 1tbs per 1 gal..but I just bought corn syrup to try since it is a tenth the price of mol.

I will be using 2 tbs per 1gal of h2o since the carb total per tbs is 1/2 that of mol.

was only 1.50 for a litter bottle..has any1 use sugar from corn as opposed to the cane sugar used in carboload/molasses..?

americangrower personallly i would just stick to molasses. appearantly its "tried and true" .i mean its cool to experiment and all.. but when it comes to your over all outcome, why try-n-save a few bucks??

i'd say no, veg should be fine with a good npk and ph levels (lighting, air and water ect..)

as long as you have a healthy plant, imo, the only boost that matters will be your last weeks of flower. from what i hear it varies when people add the molasses. the last 4-6 weeks, depending.

i use botanicares sweet all the way from veg through flower upto 10 days before harvest. on the bottle it says can be used right upto harvest it's processed cane sugar npk 0-0-0
