"Addictive" is a property of the person, not of the substance, anything and nothing can be additictive, depending on who's doing it.

I too have been there.I 've had to quit smoking to take drug tests(for work), and it sucks. I have been thinking alot about this subject too because, before I grew my own , I was like everybody else, I got weed when I could and when I couldn't I delt with it. Now it is diffrent because I no longer run out.I always have it around and at times i don't always see that as a good thing. I have begun to realize that Marijuana is a very spiritual and healing herb. One only needs to smoke some after a bad day to truly see that. I am starting to believe however that you CAN smoke too much, self control is becoming an issue with both my wife and myself.I usually smoke 2 joints a day, and both are usually done in the evening hours, and I always ask myself "Do I really need this second joint?" usually I don't but my wife wants to smoke ,so I just end up smoking it with her anyways. I think it can be really healthy to quit smoking for awhile ,but it is very hard, and I haven't been able to do it yet. I feel that by quitting just for a few days to a week , you can bring the levels of healing up , that your herb is supposed to provide, rather than the typical "burnt out" feeling that I would bet over half the people in these forums now suffer. To answer the question I don't necessarily call M.J. addictive but certainly some people's behaviors would rather challenge this notion. I think marijuana is healing herb, used and appreciated by those who need it, but it should be used wisely because anything done without moderation is a bad thing. Who knows man, you might be smoking again in 2 monthes from now and you may never smoke it again. When you need the healing the herb will be there.Good luck.

its all in your head, just think about it. do you want to prove those stupid stereotypes right or do good in school, have a good job and a good life while on cannabis, sure theres times when you dont need to smoke. its not that hard to not smoke for a few days, all in all its just weed. you have to prove yourself right i think you can do it.
