Nice one Ace, I really enjoyed the zangria we sampled at this year’s cup, I think it came first place from memory, hopefully you find a similar pheno.

Also looking forward to seeing your progress with the Sour peaches from our friend @Karma G as I have a pack in the fridge itching to be germinated.

Interesting about the micro seed, apparently every female bract will have a small embryo called an ovule which the pistil (stigma) is connected to. For some reason, probably genetic, these can vary in size from unnoticeable and undetectable when smoking, to being quite large and having a huge impact on flavor akin to smoking seed. I have some haze lines that do the same annoyingly.

Do you still have the other cuttings you picked up at the expo in Berlin?

Looking forward to the show!

Peace

Hi folks!
It´s been some time but I´m back after the summer break. I popped some seeds, this time it´s new school Hybrids after the prior Haze run...

There is MAC11 (MAC x RS11) in the upper left from Phenofinder Seeds. To her right is Britcoin (Gelato#41 x Britscotti), also from Phenofinder.
On the upper right is Apple Fritter (Clone only, Lumpy)

The smallest plant on the lower left is Pink Payton (Karma), this seed was planted later as the first one was a runt and died....The plant in the bottom of the pic is Zangria by Wizard Trees. The plant next to the Pink Payton is Pink Pie (Karma, Georgia Pie x Pink Runtz) already showing big indica fans. The plant in the middle is Fresh pressed Runtz from Purple City Genetics.((Tropicanna x Strawnana X Blueprint (Runtz xF1xGushers)) She smells very for unique for Cannabis- reminds me of Punani (in a good way:LOL:) And the last of the bunch is Pink Sour Peaches by Karma. She has the most interesting smell so far, potent sweet and sour smell if you do a stem rub.

Cuts are taken and most of them are already transplanted into 11 and 15 liter pots. I´m going to flip the biggest plants in the next days.

Peace

Thanks Piff, yeah, I really liked the Zangria sample from this years cup and it won 1st place for a reason. Fingers crossed, that I get something like that from that plant! I only ordered a single seed ´cause the whole pack goes for 250 Euro😵 Definately the most expensive seed I have ever popped 😅 I am also very curious about the Pink Sour Peaches, the Maroccan Peaches in there won the emerald Cup as far as I remember. I hope to find some peach terps!
The micro seed topic is really interesting, I´d like to know more about it from a scientifical perspective, seems to be a more common trait in modern strains. Is it Genetics? Is it a consequence from breeding with feminized seeds? Is it caused by light stress? Really interesting topic...and likewise annoying if your crop is "ruined" by it.
Yes, I still got all the Clone Onlys from the expo, but I only flower out the Apple Fritter by myself, the rest was given to a friend for production😜
Take a seat!

Hey Bro!
It´s my first time with the Apple Fritter, I have to admit, that I did not even smoke the flower before, so fingers crossed that I like it...hazy you say...heard from others that it´s gassy and not so much Apple in there...haven´t tried the Apple & Bananas either...we will see!

Rest is all from seed, all feminized. Fingers crossed for some keepers!

In fact, I did not keep any of the Hazes because the one I liked most (SSSTN#2) had too many micro seeds and it takes me about 15 minutes to to pick them out to roll one up...kept her at first and culled her later because of that...and I still got a whole lot of Oj´s Hazes to go through, so hopefully I´ll find one, that´s ticking all the boxes to get keeper status...After some cure over the last months the Thai Frankie developed a really enjoyable high, bright colors and great for listening to music/inspiration. Def. gonna take a deeper look into that line.

What about your Haze yourney? Have you popped some of the Yosammy/ Doc D stuff?

All the best
Ace
Microseeds suck! I had the same problem with some plants from the last selection, so I didn't keep them either... (also haze btw)

I dont have any Doc D Stuff but Yosammy Strains are on the list for next year.

Yes they do! I don´t mind, if there are a few ripe seeds in the weed but microseeds suck...Oh, okay I got it mixed up, but looking forward to your Haze selections next year! Did you keep a KA5HZ mother?

The plants are all in their final containers and switched to 12 12 since a few days. This time I amended the soil with 2 different living soil mixtures. I got some samples at the Mary Jane Expo, one is from SOMA Seeds and the other brand I forgot atm...The Mills Soil is already pretty hot, so I see slightly overfertilisation on some plants, but I hope they´ll adapt soon, when the flowering starts off. I also watered with beneficial bacteria and fungi to activate the soil life.

Here are some shots:

Sounds like good breeding material, El Pollo!

They really stretched a lot since the flip...here are some pics some days ago

Thanks man, I am really happy so far with the super soil mix. Especially the plants in the SOMA mix are looking healthy. Also it seems I got rid of the thrips finally😮‍💨 We´ll see how they´ll perform in flowering...
The bigger tent seen above is 120 x 120 and the smaller one is about 0,9 m2. Wishing back the old times with the XXL tent😅

I took some pics today, 18 days of 12/12

This is in the smaller tent, the plants in here are looking on point...the Apple Fritter looks like the fastest blooming plant so far. No Apple smell so far, only creamy and a bit gassy

Pink Payton, first resin appears

The other tent is too crowded, I had to defoliate a lot but still there is not enough light coming to the lower parts of the plant. Also the tops got a bit close to the light, raised the light as far as possible and supercropped a few top branches. Unfortunately the main top of the small Pink Pie snapped, but maybe the branch can recover. The upper parts turned a bit lighter green, but still looking allright
Mac 11 in the front, Britcoin in the back (The MAC11 clones did not root well, might lose the backup)

Unfortunately I found something very strange on the Fresh pressed Runtz. It looks like a light brown/yellow "pimple" or "turd" attached to the stem. If you try to rub it of it also smears a bit like pollen. That´s why I initially thought there were open pollen sacks, but could not find any signs of hermaphrodism...other parts of the plant looked similar and I could see some darker spots on the stem. Maybe some sort of fungus or some bug digging in the stem?! I removed the plant immediately and did not find anything similar on the other plants...
Anybody knows, what that could be?!
Here is a pic, a bit too small to catch it properly with my camera...

My answer comes probably to late, but you can glue/tape that back together!

How does it look with a magnifier?

Maybe it's trying to make air roots:ROFLMAO: But it looks more like some kind of bug eggs...
