Ace test, latitude 66...

3X Black Thai
3X Tropical mix
3X Ace Mix
3X Zamaldelica
3X Erdpurt
3X Tikal

Growing space is at first a livingroom window.Official daylenght here is 24 h at the moment,
so.... why use electric lights?
It's not warm enough outside, so we stay inside with babes.Temperature is about 18 C at daytime, but only 10 C at night...

I have prepaired two kinds of soil, one for indicas, one for sativas.
Both are made very light with sphagnum moss, peat and sort of pumice.
One for sativas contain lownutrient peat more and indicasoil has some black, nutrient rich soil in it.Indicas will have more nitrogen for growing. Both have some in them eggshels for calsium..
Bat guano is still to come, but seeweed is added with every other watering.

I have made a greenhouse ready for vegetating, for blooming they are coming inside, because I can't regulate the daylenght and temperature outside.
Vegetating will be quite long, I presume...but it's something what remains to be seen.

Some pictures I will apply when my camera makes it's way home, it's in Norway at the moment.

Seeds came in about week ago, and first ones to pop out was Ace Mix, then came Tikal and Zamaldelica, today went Tropical mix, Black Tahi and Erdpurt to soil.
You will have some pictures soon.

I have given a bit of a peptalk to babes, something like: Look, you got to wake up now, cause I have to start the diary. I promised.
I can't make it, if you sleep all day long.
Well, some of them wouldn't be bothered, but some did rise their heads very obiedently...

But I'm getting the stubborn ones up now ;)

So welcome to my diary, first time for me to grow sativas, so keep your thumbs up!

Great grow plan, so when do you plan on bringing them inside and will you put to 12/12 by opening/closing the curtains?

Thanks Paolo ;)
SSH-Zamaldelicas are now about 5 cm tall, definately biggest, most vigorous ones, others about 1-2 cm. VB Thais are very strong looking.
They look quite nice little plants all.
Need to take some pics with phonecamera.

Rinse, sometimes in August.I suppose.
First I need to see how they grow, how much I need to cut tops etc..
But in august nights will get dark, so it's going towards 12/12 naturally. It also depends how cold nights get. These weathers have been crazy for few years now, and you really can't predict...
In the end of august I think...

I've been adding some mychoriza and seeweed now..to give a strong start..

Noup. There is somesort of kerosineheaters, that can help you through the cold night. But that's it.
In no means, it's not going to be very tropical and warm ;)
But is not gone be a problem, I have plenty of room inside too.

May I introduce my babes?
There has been a lack of sun, so we are not making progress as I would like...seems to hold back sativas...

Zamaldelicas, quite frankly, I don't think number 1 and 2 are gone make it, but I'll be replacing them with fresh seeds.
I believe that very cloudy and rainy start of summer is to blame of these failures...we have somewhat warm, but no sun, and I think this is affecting sativas?

It has been so cold here, that I haven't taken babies out yet.
Few nice days, they have been outing and enjoying, but nights they have to spend inside!
This day is very cold,+10 C only, very wet and cloudy.
I had to take some parafine heaters to greenhouse, cos its getting ever so chilly...I have some Mini matanuskas, Mistys, Pineapples and Black Dominas there, and believe me, they are not enjoying!
Weathergurus promise that after this, summer will come, and its about the time!
God dammed, this have been very bad, and I don't even dream taking sativas out yet!
Few adds I have, from a friend Who came from Asia, some Kamboza and Laos seed, two of each has popped, and they will accompany Ace seeds ;)
Sativas I presume ;)

Im glad to see the new batch is coming up scai :)

Hopefully the weather improves a bit but guess is not easy to provide the correct light intensity and temperatures at your latitude. Additional artifical light and heat system will help a lot to control the greenhouse environment.

Im curious to know how your new asian landraces develop, thanks for the updates!
Best wishes!
