Ace seeds in Canada

T

TheForgotten

Hi

I just wanted to show my appreciation for a company that isn't 'just doing the minimum'....

I ordered Malawi through a Canadian seedbank (5 Malawi standard), and was pleasantly surprised to see that there were 6 seeds in the pack....

I'll start a grow thread when they show their first set of true leaves, but 6/6 germinated, 2 have opened, and the others are about to....

Good luck with your grow!

It looks like you have 2 over-achievers there. :rasta:

Here is your inspirational photo from this morning. I have finally figured out my leaf twist issue - pH. Stupid! I changed the batteries on my meter without re-calibrating so I was a bit low for the last 10 days . . .

14" now. I started some defol 2 days ago but it needs more. Gradually . . .

Wow, beautiful plant. Some serious thickness to that stalk....
Looks fartastic TBD, what growing medium do you use?
I use Pro Mix HP and yours looks the same....

Coco from Canna + Perlite. Since it is essentially hydro, I water daily with some run-off. I started them in their final pot - 10 gallon.

I am curious to see your regs grow out versus my fem version.

10 gal seems big for coco..i am sure you know that you never want coco to dry..i run canna also DTW..in 3 gal..in flower i water 3 litres daily to keep wet.. you will go thru 9 litres daily..10-13 week flower.. that is a lot of nutes.. looking forward to seeing your grow.. your plant look super.

Hi TheForgotten :)

Thank you very much for supporting our work!
All our 5 seed packs (regular or fem) always contain 1 extra seed.
The 10 seed regular packs contain 12 seeds, so 2 extra.

Best wishes for your Malawi grow ;)

I use 10 gallon because I like trees. I never do let it dry. I find you can cheat for the first few weeks & after a flooding, just top up daily for a week (about 1 L per/per) & then flood again. At this stage (6 wks) I am feeding 1.5 L per plant per day (with a little run off) but it is soon to be 2 L etc . . .

Funny . . . I have seen gnats flying near my tent during all of my grows but never inside. But thanks for the tip.

Sorry for the thread abduction @TheForgotten . . .

Hi TheForgotten,

Looking forward to following the grow. Are you able say which vendor you got the seeds from? I’ve only found 1 reputable Canadian seedbank carrying ACE and they only have Nepal Jam in stock. Looking to track down Bubba Hash, and Panama in Canada.

Cheers!- hoping you keep us posted with your Malawi Grow!

I will keep posting Malawi updates, unique looking plants in my garden that i too am excited to see....
