Dear growers and friends, Over these 20 years, we have embarked together on an amazing journey that has taken us across the globe, discovering landraces and heirloom genetics from the most remote regions of the planet. |
Starting in the Americas, with sativas from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Jamaica, Colombia, and Brazil, we then delved into the lesser known African sativas from Malawi, Congo, Ethiopia, Morocco, Angola, Senegal, Mauritius and Zamal. Our exploration then arrived to Asia, beginning with Lebanon in the Middle East, followed by the indicas from Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Kashmir, as well as sativas from India and Nepal in Central Asia. From there, we ventured further east to China and Japan, and finally to Southeast Asia, where we encountered the marvelous sativas of Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Cambodia. To finally lose ourselves in the distant islands of New Caledonia in the Pacific. |
Our first catalog in 2005 consisted solely of regular seeds, giving rise to strains that are now classics, such as Bangi Haze and Congo, Panama (still the finest American sativa of the past two decades), Orient Express, Nepal Jam, and Tikal. In 2007, we introduced the widely renowned Pakistan Chitral Kush, the exotic indica China Yunnan, and Oldtimer’s Haze, an original population of the legendary Haze, evolved differently from Dutch Haze, retaining extreme tropical sativa genotypes with extraordinarily long flowering periods. |
By 2008, we began offering feminized versions of our strains, marking the beginning of a balanced catalog that would include both regular and feminized seeds in the years to come. That same year, we embarked on an exciting hybridization project with an excellent Thai Hmong and our best landrace sativa mothers, creating now legendary sativas such as Angola/Thai, Zamal/Thai, Green Haze Thai, Purple Haze Thai, and Vietnam Black Thai. Among them, Golden Tiger (Thai/Malawi), with its extreme potency and exceptionally high THC levels reaching up to 30%, has had the most global impact to date. |
In 2012, we introduced the early flowering Afghan ErdPurt, the pure Guatemala sativa, and the acclaimed Malawi, which remains the most potent sativa line on the market. Malawi has fathered impressive hybrids, including Zamaldelica, which made its debut in 2013, a year that also involved extensive selection and refinement work, elevating several of our classic varieties to the status of stabilized lines (IBLs). |
By 2014, we released Kali China and Violeta, stabilized and improved hybrids of China Yunnan and the colorful phenotype of Pakistan Chitral Kush, respectively. This marked the beginning of a new decade-long phase, focused on producing the finest F1 hybrids (more vigorous, potent, and productive) by crossing these landraces and stabilized hybrids. This effort emphasized their best qualities while minimizing their flaws, resulting in celebrated releases like Panama Haze and Purple Haze x Malawi in 2015, followed by Malawi x PCK in 2016, our best sativa/indica F1 hybrid with landrace genetics to date. |
In 2017, we introduced 2 new pure sativas from Honduras and Ethiopia (the latter with THCV potential), a hash plant landrace from Lebanon, and our first fully autoflowering strain: Auto Malawi x NL. The following year, we launched Malawi x Panama and Panama x Bangi Haze, unrivaled F1 crosses between our most refined sativas. |
In 2019, we included the rare landrace from Hokkaido, Japan, and the fascinating Thai Chi hybrid, highly valued for its zen-like effects. That year also marked the beginning of our collaboration with Yo Sammy, the preserver in clone form of the original Neville’s F1 Haze hybrids. By combining ACE Seeds’ elite sativa genetics with Neville’s Haze hybrids, we created new super sativas, yielding their first fruits with Killer A5 Haze (A5 Haze x Malawi) and Super Malawi Haze (Neville’s Haze x Malawi). |
In 2020, we launched Auto Zamaldelica (our second autoflowering variety), new F1 hybrids such as ErdPurt x PCK, Honduras x Panama, Thai x Panama, and Panama x PCK, along with the revival of an old Nepalese hybrid: Nepal Mist, and two additional pure landraces: Nepal Annapurna and Moroccan Beldia. |
This marked the culmination of over five years of research in laboratory identifying landrace genetics, both rich in THC and CBD (ErdPurt, Lebanon, Beldia, and Hokkaido), which laid the foundation for the creation and stabilization of CBD #1 strain, with very high CBD levels and low THC, and exceptional resins and terpene quality, CBD #1 stands as our best breeding achievement in the CBD field. |
In 2021, we unveiled the sativa from New Caledonia, which has delighted us with its effects, among the finest we’ve encountered in years. In 2022, we delighted you with an old pure Thai from Chiang Mai, also advancing in our A5 Haze project, releasing Green Haze 19 A5, Purple Haze 19 A5, and Thai A5 Haze, followed in 2023 by Panama A5 Haze. By 2024, we had worked on the much anticipated Oaxaca 79 (the best Mexican sativa we know), producing Oaxaca A5 Haze and Oaxaca x Panama. To celebrate our 20th anniversary, 2025 brings you New Strains in true ACE Seeds style! |
Our heartfelt thanks go out to collaborators, employees, distributors, and especially growers. Without your loyal support, these 20 years of ACE Seeds wouldn’t have been possible! We will continue to uphold our philosophy of preserving more exciting landraces and heirlooms, developing innovative hybrids for years to come! I will try to catch up on the threads in the coming days. Meanwhile, Happy New Year and all the best for 2025. Much love, good health and prosperity from the ACE Seeds team |
