What came of the search for a great meao Thai male in the old golden tiger. Was a thing to cross that to your new Thai still a project in R&D ?

Many great F1s things came out from the Meao Thai male (unfortunately long time ago deceased) such as Green Haze Thai, Purple Haze Thai, Vietnam Black Thai, Vietnam Nah Trang x Thai, Zamal x Thai, Angola x Thai, ... and of course first Golden Tiger version (Old Malawi x Meao Thai), although second GT version including also old Koh Chang and New Malawi Killer is superior to first one.

We have been working extensively with Oldtimer's Haze all these years, and i think we have have produced great F1s with the line such as Green Haze Thai, Purple Haze Thai, Green Honduras Haze, Purple Honduras Haze, Nepal Mist x Oldtimer's Haze, Panama Haze, Purple Haze x Malawi, Purple Haze x Kali China, Purple Haze x Meao Thai .... among other recently listed and probably more to come since i love Green Haze #19 in hybrids.
I have held a OT Haze momma for several seasons it has the most enticing aroma and nice flower set. Just have not been able to chop it

I stop over your site quite often and browse the strain catalogs pics

That Thai heavy version golden tiger I'm sure was gonna sell out quick.

Reminds me to read the Ace Seed news letter, thanks @dubi appreciate all your breeding labors :huggg:

Hi here's a two phenos of honduras a5
One is liver/haze 50/50 on the smell, not so frosty and the other has that spicy lemon Colombian haze smell with notes of pot pourri , and it's also quite sticky.
Both 9 weeks of 11/13.

A pleasure to meet your 2 Honduras A5 Haze @zapok :) they look healthy and enjoying the feeding at this point to face a promising, upcoming second half of flowering. Terpenes sound so far mostly on A5 Haze side, although may evolve with more details during ripening. Please, keep us updated!

Thx ! The skinnier one seems to need a bit less food, but the fatter one (first pic) seems to be more ph sensitive. They both got 99% clear water the whole time (bit of hydrolysed kelp here and there).
The light is a cheap 300w led so it does what it can.
Thx for taking interest. Already did pck and congo from your catalog and both were good. This run is a attempt to find a sativa a bit less racy than the congo.(The coljam from underground see collective was perfect but not available anymore)

Hi everyone, little update one week later
First three pictures are of the plant I referred to as skinny previously. It's picking up a real nice frost and the smell is evolving towards something darker with a nice blend of haze and noble wood, the citrus notes are not as present has last week. I would say the smell is getting darker.
The next plant (both Honduras A5) smells like woody foie gras and is picking up frost but a bit less than the 1st plant.
I gave them a little bit of organic bloom just to make sure since it's hard to pack 16 weeks of food in a 30l pot.
Any advice on how to do better will be welcome 🤗.

Your updates and comments on their evolution are much appreciated @zapok even the 'skinnier plant is going to produce a lot :) they are are enjoying perfect health under your excellent care  and as you said is not easy with long flowering plants and especifically with A5 Haze hybrids.

They easily will need 1 month more, let's she how they progress, keep up the great work!

Hi,
Plants keep cruising at the end of week 11. Didn't add enough food so there has been some yellowing. Will try soften the blow with small amount on the next watering. But the buds also doubled in size so overall still good 😁
As before first 3 pictures are of the not so skinny plant, with the more landrace smell (woody dark haze) the frost is very satisfying. Load of really small trichomes giving that typical Silver look.
The last 2 are buds of the more liver/foie gras plant. That smell gets stronger and the haze smell getting less powerfull. Frost on the second is good but bigger tricks don't give that silver look.
Starting from week 13 we will go down to 10-14 hours on the light schedule I think.

Hi, little update end of week 13. The first picture are of the meaty pheno. The smell stays doesn't change, very liver/foie gras. Trichomes are getting quite big ! Not much haze in the smell. This plant will probably be a bit faster than the second one.
The second one is my favorite : the smell slowly gets more and more landracy, noble wood Colombian spice, but very dark, not much haze.
I brought the light cycle down to 10/14.
I fucked up one watering and the nut deficiency definitely lowers the yield. But the quality seems on point. I won't be able to keep them alive longer 2 extra weeks unfortunately.
In the end those Honduras a5 were more hungry than expected. Flower time was as expected. Got surprised by the meaty aromas as I have never seen the a5 haze clone or anything close. Vigor wasn't as hard to manage as 100% sativa. Plants are 1m above the pot.
