Let's see what happens mayan ;)

Hopefully ace mix 4 has similar genetics to ace mix 2, so we can see more senegalese genetics flowering around! :ying:

Thanks, dubi. Wow...Very cool! Senegalese? Fascinating. I'm growing out another (Ace Mix 4) from the same packet. So far, structurally, she looks quite similar to Ace Mix 2. She's just on the verge of flowering (been under 12/12 about 8 or so days) - like Ace 2, I'm letting her grow au naturel without LSTing her.

One thing that I noticed about both Ace 2 and 4 is a very noticeable crinkle/deformation on many -but not all- of the fan leaves. Some of the leaves are VERY deformed - some look like hordes of locusts have attacked - none of the other plants in the line-ups have shown the trait so I don't think it's nutritional or pH. It did not seem to effect the flowering of Ace 2 whatsoever so I'm going full speed ahead at any rate.

AM 4 - Revealed!

AM 4 - Revealed!

Ahhh- OK. Introducing AM4!

She was put under 12/12 on Sept. 8 - so she's currently at about day 26 or 27. So far, she looks exactly like Ace Mix 2 in terms of structure, leaf shape and flower development.

The other thing she shares with Ace Mix 2 are bizarre crinkled leaf mutations. For example

When I first saw this leaf thang with Ace Mix 2, I thought I had an infestation of invisible insects. Now, I'm wondering whether it's some kind of genetic mutation that for some reason only affects a limited number of leaves. As you can see, most of the leaves are fine. AND -more importantly- the bud formations near the mutations are doing splendidly. None of my other plants are showing anything remotely like this so I don't think it's nutritional or diseased. But what do I know? Any thoughts?

Whatever - it's full speed ahead!!

MMmmmmm looks like eaten by some kind of insent.... mutated leaf plants usually show more mutated leaf shape in the early stages from seed, but it's rare yours have produced this leaf now for the first time in early flowering. Maybe is just a momentary mutation :) Did you find other mutations ?

Hi dubi!! The leaf deformations started way before flowering - in fact, early in veg. And - I have only seen it on the two Ace Mix plants. I tend to grow a number of strains at the same time and have not seen anything remotely similar to what I'm seeing with either the Ace Mix 2 or Ace Mix 4.

When I first saw it on Ace Mix 2, I was very concerned. Insects? Weird nutritional indigestion? But none of their friends were showing anything similar. So, I chilled. Then, when I realized it wasn't affecting flowering -in fact that the flowers were remarkably beautiful, I chilled a whole lot more. Same thing this time with Ace Mix 4 - flowering seems to be coming along really nicely. And this time around, it's not a concern at all.

I admit - I grow such small quantities that I'm sure there's a lot I haven't seen yet. That's one of the cool things, I keep trying to learn and see more. Each grow - each plant - seems to have its own personality and eccentricty. Can a plant have it's own personal bug - even if it's surrounded in tight quarters with seven or eight other plants?

Yeah, Rusty420...really freaky. Some of them look like slugs ate the leaves. Some of the leaves are just haunted and twisty - space alien stuff. Many of the leaves are totally normal. So far, the flowers are dense and already showing copious trichs.

King Harvest Has Surely Come

King Harvest Has Surely Come

Well...It's Fall here. Here's Ace Mix 4 - right before the harvest.

I let her go about 66 or 67 days. Maybe she could have gone more but she was telling me it was time.

Here's the top part of the main kola after the chop.

I gotta add that the scent of this plant is spectacular. Very lemon citrus, sorta kinda minty, too. I couldn't resist smoking
some of the copious amounts of scissor hash that resulted from harvest. Very strong -but not couchlock and the scent comes through in the taste from
the smoke.

Continue down below for some macros, etc.

Hey Rusty! Hey newhousegreen...thanks so much for stopping by with kind words! As to scent...overpowering lemon, strong mint and a hint of musk. Really strong citric thing going and it carries over into the taste of the smoke...can't wait to try this with a vaporizer - must be fantastic!! I normally can't taste a whole lot of subtleties when combusting...With this, however, the taste was upfront and it was delicious. I've had other "lemony" strains but nothing this fragrant and tasteful. In fact, my wife who normally berates me during harvest for stinking up the house with skunk LOVES the way this is scented...even though it stank up the joint from top to bottom.

Wow mayan :) Very impressed with your growing skills ... as usual!

The yield and resin production is spectacular :) Looks like a sativa/indica hybrid but honestly not sure about the genetics, i'd need to try it :D

Hey, dubi. Sure, come on by!! You'd be a very welcomed guest. I wish I could say I was skilled...just fortunate, privileged and honored to have obtained such great genetics (whatever they are).

After The Fall

After The Fall

Hey all...just thought I'd take some pics of buds/macros as the harvest was being prepared for jars and cure. Pretty amazing strain...whatever it was! The smell is stringent and pungent citrus. Very powerful. Maybe an oily quality to the scent. The high is powerful -nice mix of body/head. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks, UHN!! Thanks, dubi!

The spirit being strong but the flesh being weaker, I admit to having a puff or three before cure - how uncouth, I know. Seems to pack a wallop. More in a couple of weeks.
