Shooters, Much respect to you and your wife. Just read through the thread. I enjoyed your building projects as much as your grow. I was thinking on buying a larger green house and putting it up this spring. I may now reconsider and build the way you have. I have two sides of one building that would work out very well. Thank you for the idea and inspiration. I noticed you have a couple of great looking dogs too. Mine bring so much joy to our lives. Momma and I wouldn't know what to do without them. Peace

Hi Shooters,
You have a great show going on here. Top notch skills with the grow and set up. Everything looks great. I guess that's to be expected from a retired farmer.

Any guesses as to when you think you will be able to harvest the Zamaldelica ? Are you going to have to supply heat to the greenhouse?

Best of luck and may all your Buds be Huge.

Peace GG

Thanks everyone! You are all correct that the challenge comes in getting this plant to ripen.

I've started a compost in the neighboring bay and will be adding power through the shop wall so I can hang a 600w HPS in there to supplement the failing fall light. This clone is from a thai dominant mother that went 17 weeks. I'm sure I can get her well into Nov but Dec will be harder to accomplish even with the light.

At the moment though I'm just finished with the Violeta and have started in harvesting the PCKxKC. I've done some test branches on the Flo and the Strawberry CookieWreck that have both almost finished some fat colas. If I get an opening I'll grab some plant pics, but probably just some of the colas as I harvest.

Sounds and looks so good, glad to hear you have the supplemental lighting even more excited to see her finish up and happy as for the bolster for a beautiful harvest. Thanks for posting. I'm just a bit north from you I believe.

Did you mix a compost for the heat benefit? I'm optimistic about her finishing taking as long as she needs in our climate with your set up.

Consider posting pictures of your other harvested ganjas, hope they are great!

So the cops showed up a couple of days ago, apparently someone doesn't like me exercising my freedoms and sent them up to check on me and my "Marijuana Operation".

Fortunately for all involved our dogs were locked up with me in the shop or things could very easily gone a different way.

They found I was in compliance and went on their way and whoever sic-ed them on me didn't get the desired result.

I gotta couple of suspicions, and sorry to say they both involve family...

PS: and the cops were in AWE of the Zamaldelica plant, both assured me that in all their time on the job they had never run across a plant that big.

Glad to hear everything went alright with the cops. Sounds like it could have been much worse if the dogs would have attacked.
The cops know a great plant when they see it.
Too bad about the rats, hopefully it was not family. But now the suspicion will eat away at you. Why can't people just mind there own business.

Of course glad to hear the police trouble worked out alright, hope the rat came to light.

Hi Anjey!

She is huge but unfortunately I'm going to have to cull her as the weather has turned foul for growing and she has started to mold in places and there is no further production at all, pistils are dying off with no new ones to replace. The only way I could do a plant this big out doors is light dep to start the flowering much sooner. Still have this pheno with other clones so she isn't lost just the one grown out in the greenhouse, will produce nothing for my efforts. Tragic but I was fully aware going in this might happen. We learn from our failures and advance to bigger and better things!

Ah wow too bad I was really hoping she would make it, thanks for the update, good luck and please post any future updates you feel.

So she pretty much just stopped growing before fully developing, kind of just gave up?

Just wanted to add some more questions...do you think she stopped bc of the cold, or light, or both?

If she had warmer temps but no sup lighting do you think she could have made it, or think she needed both?

That's too bad. She was a beauty. Would love to see your growing skills on a light dep. greenhouse and a few clones of her.
Like you said live and learn. I have frozen many Sativa's and will continue too until I find the right one's for my latitude and climate.

Don't know if it even started to flower for you, but if there is something there you can still make concentrates or edibles with it.
Thanks for sharing this season. Looking forward to next years show.

Peace GG

I think it was the lack of light mostly, if I had the time and monies to do it, a light would have added enough heat to get her through.

Here is a few more pics just before I chopped her down last week:

Thanks!

I am impressed with Zamaldelicas ability to survive through cold and such better than some of my more acclimated strains, it is just hard without light dep or supplemental light to get her to finish.

I just planted my last three seeds of zamaldelica along with three of the mystery strain that when previously bred to zamaldelica created what I call Lemon Mango. I plan to do some more Lemon Mango as the first batch was only 20 seeds. It finishes around 70-77 days of flower and has a sweet lemon sour mango taste and smell that is just absolutely wonderful to smoke.
