So, I accidentally mixed up a couple packs of auto's with like 5 packs of mostly indica's. If I'm doing 12/12 from seed sea of green's in a small cab, what are the implications? Will they still yield ok?
Max GOM from grass o matic? From seeing my buddy grow it it definitely is not a sea of green plant. They can be monsters. The LR are more sea of green friendly. Not exactly sure how they are gonna turn out under 12/12 though.
cant you see a any different between the seeds? Af seeds are mostly smaler and not so tiger patterned as normal indica seeds.
in my opinion its not a good advise to grow af strains under 12/12 only, they wont get enough energy in that short time scale.
Cant you grow 18/6 and you can seperate the non af plants after 3-4 weeks?
how much did you spend?my advise is put those seeds outside in a geuriila spot, too much variation and differences in finishing time to put all in one cab...key to a good yield is consistancy...keep an even canopy so light get distributed evenly...id start over with new seeds unless you dont care abouut that stuff...if your a hobby grower just grow the fuckers out...you would have a plant to harvest every couple weeks.
You'll know within a few weeks which are AF's. I'd suggest just doing the best you can with 'em, or cull 'em when they show to let the regulars have more room...
If the "mostly indicas" are one variety, you might be able to separate the AF seeds with a fair degree of accuracy. It's worth a try, anyway.
That sucks, I would put them aside if you don't have too much invested in them. Put them outside somewhere and hope for the best. Not worth growing out the autos and losing yield at harvest time.
Run them at 18/6 for three weeks or so till the autos show themselves. Then FIM the Indicas
and let them veg, with plenty of LST while the autos do their thing.
The thing is, my cab is not very tall. Do you think if I just did 18/6 until about the 5th set of leaves, I could identify the best plants to keep by about the third week of 12/12? (ie--keep the ones that aren't stretching much and have dense internodes?) is that a good strategy? Or should the AF's show by the 5th set of leaves?
(In case you're wondering how I could be such an irresponsible twit, I was separating them on a tray when my dog attacked).
Assuming they are all feminized run them at 18/6 till the auto's show themselves then do the math. Depending on the the ratio of autos to Indicas you may want to let the autos continue at 18/6 and clone the Indicas switching to 12/12 when the Indicas are rooted.
