You may only want to try it on a few...worth a shot and temps about 80F you should be good........

Hope it works

Thanks for all the tips on getting these seeds to pop! I think I’ll try to crack a few open and the others try the scratching... Hopefully something works to get the Dr. Garcia Quaze  to come out of her shell.

This plant is amazing, I’m in love with the stretch and creeper branching. Tons of secondary branches and a metallic-steel stem rub or s’rub for short. If the flowers are anything like I suspect they’ll be, I’ll be adding this to a Kapala mix!

I had a group of 7 seeds last summer I put in water an let them float until they sank and let them sit under the water about 12 hours past that and them I put them in a paper towel and nothing happened even after I kept it wet for over a week. Then I let the towel dry out for a few days and resoaked them and put them back in a wet paper towel and 5 of 7 sprouted.
I have no idea why the magic didn't work the first time around and then did the second time, but thats what happened.

That is common on very fresh seeds some strains seem to have more of a built in dormancy I believe to get them to the next season that is truly a rainy season and not just a fluke wet spell.

That sounds like a completely reasonable explanation for what I saw. The seeds I used were about 6 months from harvest when they did what they did, so they were probably pretty fresh.

That makes total sense to me! Thanks for your input :)

The Kapala is a male!!! :woohoo: Crossing it with; First Light, Santeria & Zipolite Oaxaca for Variegation. To Swazi Gold to increase the yield and scent from Kapala and add the Swazi Gold’s secondary branches as well as for speed of growth. Got all these plants in a tent on 13 off 11 on flower cycle. July 10 would be 9 weeks from today and should have a new generation then :)

Things are moving along great though!!

The Acapulco Gold has one female and one male. Two remaining that are still yet to show what they are. These have been given a new home with a friend.

Panama Red are all but one, flowering! These are also at another home with a friend. The Alebreji is also at this spot, not flowering yet though.

Zipolite Oaxaca, First Light Swazi Gold & Santeria are all in the honeymoon suite, pollinated by the Kapala. I have mothers of the First Light #3, Santeria #1 & #3, Swazi Gold (both plants), and a father of the Kapala.

I cut the Kapala down last night and collected some pollen in a vial. Going to keep it in the freezer with the OG pollen.

This plant is tremendous hedge of African genetics! The stem rub is sweet and spicy reminiscent of a sweet Chai tea. Gold-green leaves and a bright pink stem, the roots on the cuts are pink too! Starting to stack up with flowers, can’t wait to try this one. Everyone at the garden is stoked to give it a taste :)

These plants are really tall!! In a ten gallon pot and they’re as tall as plants that are in 100 gallons! Lots of Sativa leaves, but smaller leaves than I’ve seen on most other varieties. It makes me think of a bonsai Ganja. The longest flower time in the garden, these will be done in November.

Ahhh yeeeaaaahh!! This was and has been my favorite smoke, got four plants in 100 gallons and they’re looking fantastic! Starting to get to where they might grown taller than the house :) Just about 2-3 weeks into flower. Pheno#3 seems to be a week ahead of pheno#1.

Some sweet candy smelling purple pot!
Looking like an improved blueberry variety, I handed out a few cuts to some friends and they’re both loving this strain. The first two photos are of a different plant than the last two, both First Light.
