About seed maturation.

I have three pollinated quite big Lowryders and two of them seems to have about 80% of seeds mature and one only something like 40%. The one could be somehow injured because its making smaller seeds than two others and seeds maturation is slower. Or it can be just a bit different plant. You can see diary of my project here.

I'm wondering how long would it take to finish all the seeds. Also it looks like seed maturation is getting slower.. I'm not sure about that.

Noise and light of my HPS is driving me crazy and I dont know is it worth of continue this seeding project when thinking result of what more time could give me?

You need 30 days of flowering after you've pollenated the plant to create viable seeds. Some seeds will be immature no matter what.

what kind of fert do you use ?
for seedes you need high K in your fert some very good fertilize companies give a very high P with too low K in there bloom products when because I am trying to do seeds most of the time I am trying to use bloom products that give not only high P but high K as well.

and remember many times I see the the seeds on the uper level are small and immature and inside the bud, because there are older, you will find the best mature seeds.

good luck
and it's look good.

I use BioBizz organic fertilizers by main ferts. After blooming I have gave only Bio-Grow, which is NPK is something like 8-2-6..

Now when I'm looking that most immature plant in different light (by different lamp and different mind) looks like it have a lot of more than 40% of seeds ready, but still I think less than two others of same strain.

Well, I have now already carefully started to weed (I'm not sure is this right term) plants because I wanted to shut HPS down for a while and have now some new seedlings coming up under fluorescent lamp.

Chances are good you don't want to proliferate the slow genes anyway. Take the early finishers and be done with it . Don't wast your time breeding anything short of your best genetics.IMHO

Jah:

I think I somehow realized your point.

weedmanpaddy:

I havent tought so much about it yet.. I will update my diary when I'm fully finished and then I hopefully know :) Trading I'm interested for sure.

ezozo:

True also. This time meaning with Lowryder was just dublicate them for future use. Crossing Lowryder same time with Ruderalis Indica was more breeding I think..
