About How Long ? Cloudy To Amber

I have a little girl and she is all cloudy

What is about an average time frame to go from cloudy to amber ? Sativa dom strain

Here are 2 pics , 1 is just her and the other is my first attempt at a micro close up shot of her trics

Thanks in advance fellas

It's going to be hard to say, but I would guesstimate another 7 to 10 days at least. I didn't see a single amber in the pic you posted.

It's definitely worth the rate. I had a Sour D that I harvested half a room at 70 days, and the other at 80 days. The 70 day strain tested at total cannabinoids at 24%, the extra 10 days increased it to 28% total cannabinoids with 24.9% THC.

I just went completely over her and their are no amber trics just all cloudy my man

I dont remember where i read it at but is all cloudy trics full thc and when amber sits in it goes from thc to cbd ?

I like the up lifting lmao giggly high most , which one will give that to me ? the all cloudy or cloudy and amber ?

If its the all cloudy that gives you the up lifting giggly high then should go ahead and harvest correct ? or no ?

Have to agree with Avinash.miles here. There is cloudy and then there is solid white. I am probably not using the proper terminology but I think you know what I mean. Yours appear to be more on the latter side of things. It's kind of hard to tell from this one shot. Ahhh, translucent and opaque are the terms I'm looking for...damn morning brain sometimes just don't work right....
If they are all that opaque, I'd say you're about a week away from harvest depending on how much amber you're looking for..This also is strain dependant as well.
As always, this is only my opinion.

Good Luck

<Add> Cloudy is a head high, amber is a body high.....hope that helps..:)......also, doesn't hurt to have a few amber....you wont do any damage letting it go one more day.....personally, if it were me, I'd wait until I see the amber starting,,that way I know that it's at its peak potency and is changing...once again.....all opinion only..:)

What are the calyxes doing?

Are they swollen yet? If not let her finish up versus worrying about trichs. I know people will argue with me on this BUT if the bud hasn't swollen and started to finish then I would wait for the WEIGHT.

This is kind of right, but not really.

Trichomes store THC. The clear, cloudy, stage shows you that the plant is ripening and the trichomes are filling with THC and othe cannabinoids. The amber indicates that the THC has degraded. So when taken to an extreme, say 50% amber, you'll have changed the ratio of THC to CBD and other cannabinoids, but the THC has not changed into CBD.

The reason why it's good to wait until you have some amber - I like roughly 15%, is because although some THC has degraded, the plant has produced more THC and other cannabinoids, and will be more potent overall.

Personally I like to have some CBD in my strains, even the most sativa strains, because the CBD is a natural anti-psychotic and will reduce the paranoia that some people feel.

Thanks thal

So i guess i should start to see some amber anytime then really because all the trics are cloudy ( no clear ones that i can spot )

Iv read a lot of people just choppin the top half or so and let the rest ripen up bit more too... iv never done it my self but apperantly others have... if the botttoms are under devloped make bho with it along with the sugar leaf... awsome topping foryour fully matured flower... that's what I prefer to do with it... but I don't grow for anyone except me so my method may not be the most cost effective but sure is nice and tasty...

THC doesnt turn to CBD as it degrades, i can see some trics in your picture that are starting to turn amber. not all strains go distinctive dark amber, sometimes it is a very light brown

if you like a head high then i would not worry about getting too many amber trics, if they are nearly all cloudy and a few are amber then i would look at the plant. if nearly all the pistils are brown and the leaves yellowing/fading them you could be good to go.

having said that, if in doubt give it another week!

As far as the leaves they still seem healthy

But all the hairs are brown

She is just a little 1 footer

Indoors I pull em when they are all cloudy maybe an amber here or there.

Outside I wait until I see 50% amber.

It's really personal preference.
