Hey guys,

I was wondering how much longer I should let this pretty lady go for?

All of the hairs on the top already turned orange and receded. Still a lot of white hairs on the lower half though. Was considering cutting half of it and letting the rest mature.

Its actually day 52

Let me know what you think

^^Lower half popcorn

Cut off a sample bud off the top and let the rest go a bit longer. What strain and how long you been flushing?

Unknown strain, random seed from some stanky stuff.

Started flushing a couple days ago, growing in 5 gallon dwc buckets with a 25 gallon air pump and 600w switchable MH/HPS. Had PPM's around 900 @ .5 conversion using GH Micro and Bloom now its around 400 and im adding only water daily so it should drop pretty quick.

It just seems a little early to see the amount of amber-ish trichs on picture 3

Me personally I definitely would not harvest that plant yet. Seeing the full plant shot it just looks like something I'd let sit longer. And I'd try to get it to fade out a little more. Nothing worse than cutting a whole plant down and then realizing it needed to flush longer. But a sample bud once a week till harvest can help you figure out when is the ideal timeframe for her is.

Awesome, I really appreciate your advice/help.

I'll probably post more pictures next week.

Thanks again

Id give it a week... at minimum 50 50 hairs imo... check your trichs...

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd update this thread with the pictures I said I'd post

I know I'm a day shy of the week i was supposed to wait, but she's going in the dark room for a day or two before cutting. All orange hairs, in-fact I'm having a hard time finding white ones.

Thanks again for the help

Beautiful fade...

I'd hold off just a bit longer though....

Cannabis flowers really fatten up in the last weeks prior to harvest.
My usual rule of thumb...

The day I usually expect to chop...

Wait another week.

A grower of 40+ years once told me this advice...

And damn... I'm really grateful for said advice...

Even after supporting all my colas, after that last week, they Still end up flopping over with extra weight.

I also prefer to have about 15-40% Amber trichomes, giving the flowers a more narcotic effect.

Again, well done.

All the best,
-dabs

Thank you, Unfortunately I already put her in the dark room.

I could put her back but she already missed 9hrs of "daylight"

The anticipation just killed me, I had to take her out lol

You'll be perfectly fine.

I can't believe how much of a difference that week-ish had on your plants! great job, beautiful fade!

applying or at least trying SirDabs' advice from here on might be beneficial in the future though!

overall, good job from an unknown!

Awesome.

I really can't believe it either, such a drastic color change in so little time.

There is another unknown seed I'm currently growing in the same room that's obviously a sativa, switched to 12/12 at the same time as the above plant, a foot taller and still covered in white hairs. I'll definitely use "SirDabs" advice on that one.

And thank you for the compliments
