What's new

a week with gypsy at the cup has made me join the forum

Last week, I had the pleasure of joining @Chevy cHaze and @TheUnbaldedGuy once again at this year’s ICMAG Cup in Barcelona. Chevy told me we’d be sharing the apartment with another colleague named Gypsy — and I didn’t think much of it.

@TheUnbaldedGuy and I arrived late in the evening, while Chevy and @Gypsy Nirvana were already busy checking out the cup samples. We joined in, had a friendly chat, and later that night, Gypsy was the first to claim a mattress spot in the living room. The room had a glass sliding door facing the hallway, and since I was the last one heading to bed, I quietly closed the door so Gypsy could get some rest.

Well, turns out… that wasn’t the best move.
In the middle of the night, poor Gypsy woke up with a full bladder only to realize that the sliding glass door had jammed
- completely stuck and wouldn’t budge. 😅
After some fiddling, rattling, and eventually calling for help, he managed to wake up the others. Together, they got the door open again.

Meanwhile, I was sleeping like a baby and didn’t notice a thing.

The next morning, they told me the whole story, and I just went:
“Oh... yeah, that might have been me.”

Gypsy, thankfully blessed with classic British humor, laughed and shouted:
“Oh you little Gremlin! You locked me in!”

Not a bad way to get to know someone — and that’s how I earned the nickname @glassdoorgremlin .

We ended up having a fantastic time at the cup and spent a great week together. I also had the lovely opportunity to get to know Gypsy better — a true British gentleman with a great sense of humor and even better stories. It’s something I really appreciate, because legends like that don’t come around every day.

Now back home in good ol germany, i still giggle about the fun we had last week!

Yes - think about waking up at 3am - for the first time - in a strange new apartment - very very stoned - and you have a VERY full bladder - but have zero access to a toilet 🚻 - because this Gremlin fella - had pulled a sliding glass door closed - that had jammed - and so locked 🔒 me into that front lounge room effectively - while I was sleeping -

- I tried desperately to free myself - at first carefully trying to get the glass door to slide back into the wall 🧱 - but it would not budge - so panic set in - and I was just about to smash my way thru that glass door - shouting for help from the 3 German lads - in their bedrooms - when Chevy came to my aid - and somehow managed to get that stuck door unstuck - before I turned into a piss fountain ⛲️ - Phew! - meanwhile The Gremlin slept thru the whole episode - the little Rapscallion!
-
Yeah - it was hilarious - after the event 🤣 - and I was so happy that I didn't have to break that door down - that huge glass door - would have made a dangerous mess of glass everywhere - and Chevy would have got into trouble with the people that rented the apartment to him - and cost us mucho dinero -

Welcome to the forum! You won't find a better place to discuss cannabis than ICM anywhere on the internet are you listening to this this is.

But I got to say... damn. Looking at all those _bald_ guys, I'm not feeling so bad now, with the few whisps of gray hair I still possess.

I doubt I'll ever get into totally shaving my head, too much maintenance. I started growing a beard during the Hurricane in the Mountains and like really the low maintenance aspect of it. 🚫👨‍🦲... 🆗🧔‍♂️

Sounds like you old geezers had a great time! :)

Greetings! and Welcome to the forums!
And good on you Gypsy, don't think I coulda held it!
I really thought that I was a-gonna pee in my pants - and could get access to the wrap around balcony - but peeing from the 9th floor - might have rained it on the balconies below - or blown it back on me - 'cos it was very windy up there - then I had my eye on some dilapidated plant pot - with holes in the bottom of it - when Chevy came to the rescue - and calmly worked the glass door 🚪 back into the wall - in a few terrible minutes - in retrospect - it was a very funny event - that kinda got the party started - and we all had a great time in Barcelona - toked some nice buds - hash and rosin - went out and ate some great meals - and got blasted at 3 different cannabis clubs - I was even awarded the ICMAG Member of the Year Cup -

Welcome @glassdoorgremlin - next year we've been talking about maybe doing the ICMAG GROWERS AND BREEDERS CUP - in Berlin Germany 🇩🇪 - that should be a total blast too 😀

Meself - earlier in the week of the cup - showing off the 1st place Hash Cup -

Too much maintenance? - its just a five minute shave every 2 days - under a power shower - and I can do it by feel - without a mirror - with a little soap 🧼 😅 -

I was the only old geezer - the German lads were all young whippersnappers in their 30's/40's - (I'm 65) -
