A Taste of Africa from Malawi

Hi nldfarmer, dubi,

I can attest recessive phenos can be found in Feminized line as well. I've grown about 20-25 Malawi fems and had one such a beauty - long internodes and slender leaves, stretches madly, smells like peppery fruits with a bit of sandalwood (no oil, no wood flakes and hazelnuts as in Killer phenos), takes 16 weeks to mature and is more euphoric and way less killer than usual phenos.

Cheers,
IpChains
I believe I have this pheno too.

The other two are very similar in growth and structure.

Has anyone else experienced the Heat couteracting property of the Malawi? If I smoke this before going out into the Sun on a Hot day, it's like there's Coolant in my veins. I first noticed it making me feel cooler in the House, but the effect Outside is astounding. I felt happy and comfortable instead of irritated and hot. The Ultimate strain for Summertime.

For serious sativas, yes, that heat counteracting thing is real. Once it was 113'F outside and we smoked a huge blunt on the back porch in the shade and i was pouring sweat. Within 5 minutes I stopped sweating, it wasn't hot to me anymore, my sweat dried, and it felt nice outside like I was a happy cat sitting in the A/C

After exploring Panama line in depth through its Breeders Pack, glad you are trying now straight Malawi @OZZ_ ;) how many Malawi seeds are you growing ?

Looking good wutwut (y) thansk for the update. I would cut down a bit the EC (burn tips) and check the ph in waterings and feedings to make sure it's always in the correct range.

Thanks Dubi! I revamped my grow room and setup an 8x4 tent. On this run I am only growing the one Malawi. It’s a regular M/F seed from a pack purchased around 2015 that sexed out female and I had a few open spots in my hybrid run so I threw a doors x Ohaze and the Malawi in there. I do have a fem Malawi in my propagator tent waiting for a turn as well, I think I got those FEM seeds last year 2021.

Running six modern hybrids, a Malawi and a doors x Ohaze … I’m sure the satties will over take everything lol 😂😂😂

Will update here in her progress 🤘🤘🤘

Doesn't seem to be the easiest strain to grow. Which is fine, just an observation. From my five seedlings in the exact same conditions one looks very happy, the rest look less happy in different ways. Hope I get at least one girl near her potential to get a fair view of the strain.

Hello all, my three beautiful female ACE regulars (Purple Haze x Malawi, Malawi, and Super Malawi Haze) have now been up-potted to their final destinations! Here I'll post a group photo and below a close-up of the Malawi only (close-ups the others will be posted in their respective threads, of course!).

@JustGrowing420 hey your harvest looks great! How many weeks flowering did she need?

Here my Malawi 10+ weeks from seed in the second and third photos.
