A Swedish Garden!

Hi guys!

Just thought i would post some pics of my ongoing grow.
Im sorry for the lousy quality, but im not very good with the camera yet.

There's 4 Nothern Lights, 3 PowerPlant and 3 Lowriders at the moment, all female. (Well actually, there's 15 more clones of NL and PP in there too, but they'll go to a new veg. chamber in a few days when i switch the timer on for bloom.)

These pics were taken on the 15th of May, so they are quite old by now and really does'nt match with todays appearance.
More recent pic will be posted in a not so distant future.

Some setup info;

400w HPS lighting, soon to be 650w HPS and about 360w floro tubes on the sides.

I grow in soil as you prob. can see by the pics.

My growroom is approx. 2,5 square meters, of which i use about 1,5.

I have access to running water in the setup which i consider a big +.

Temp. is around 20-24 degrees celsius by the tops and there is about 70% air humidity.

Oyster Magnet; They are set for 18/6 as of today, iv'e had the lights on 24/7 until now, so i wont swich the timer to 12/12 until i get my 250w set up nicely.

Someone gave me a tip the other day about how to grow LR optimal.
She/He said that She/He got the best results by "vegging" LR the first couple 'o weeks with the lights on 24/7, then switch to 18/6 and the last 2-3 weeks setting it at 12/12. This way, roughly messured, you would get about 1g / dl soil, finished product. I think those results were under a 150w HPS. So this is what im aiming for this grow, it's my first try with Lowriders, if it goes well, im gonna proceed with numerous experiments. hehe.
As for the moment there are 3 LR in the same 7,5 liter pot, (Did'nt have enough soil.) so i hope they will manage anyway.

I am currently growing some lowryder too. Seed purposes only as i dont like the smoke. It's a funny lil plant tho
I grew mine in 19/5 for the veg period witch is really short. The lone guy i got outta my 6 lowryders showed balls by day 15 or 16.. Couple of days later he was all balls LOL. The chicks showed sex at day 19-21.

Can u tell me how long they took to show sex in 24/0?

Im growing mine for seeds too, and there will be some X pollination with my PP and NL. Lowriders does not even look like a good smoke, it looks a bit odd with those "plastic leaves" if you know what i mean. Could be the ruderalis genes maybe!? It looks a bit poisonous.

Well, i must say you were lucky with only 1 male outta six. I got 3 female outta 11.
My males showed balls very early, about day 11-13 or so, i cant tell you a fixed number 'o days. 1 female showed @ ~18 days, and the other two @ ~24.
Male lowriders really mature FAST! I can totally anderstand what you mean.

Notice many scandinavians on this thread. I'm from U.S. but on border state with Canada. We get winters too but maybe not as severe as Scandinavia. I like working on my plants during the winter, all that green and bright light. Light is supposed to help with those winter blues. Do you guys think it helps your spirits during dead winter to be exposed to such bright light? I think it does. Maybe something to think about next winter. Happy growing.

I feel it all year though, to come inside the setup is breathtaking, every time, summer or winter. Just to see your sweat and blood thriving is the gretest moodbooster of all!

hehe i live up northin norway and in the winters its 4 hours a ligth a day. that is depressing its like alaska in the sumnmers its 24 hour ligth outside
