Why did this guy know you grow? I am not an expert, but I am somewhat anally stapled when it comes to not letting anyone know I thought about growing one time, much less that I actually mighta grown sometime in the mythical past.... see what I am saying?
Obviously, u have your shit together to be able to tear down and write how you did. But I am still wondering what advantage you gained by letting the udder guy know u were growing.

I thought I wrote it earlier, should probably check my own post. It came down to having a roomate 5 years ago that I grew with. We pulled off two of the most beautiful years of growing I've had. Then one day I came home from work and my roomate had two people I didn't know standing in the grow room. They were both co-workers of his (for sometime) that had been growing as well. At that point they knew. I trusted, and still trust, the guy who was my roomate, he'll also be one of my best friends. He was sorry for ever doing it, and he is as tight as me. But we are all humans and sometimes just do stupid stuff as part of the deal of being human. My old roomate and I have been saying the bustee was going to get busted for years now, and we've been coaching him as much as possible.
No cops at my house. But I'm not a big grower, I like it as a hobby, and love the taste of good herb. Life is stressful, I exercise a lot, but sometimes just like the buzz after a stressful day at teh office. Not to escape, but to unwind. Being that close to someone getting busted is enough to make me shut down for a while. I'd rather wait it out till all the cards have fallen on this one.
In retrospect when talking to other friends who are in the same boat as me on this one, the shop is fucking lame. Six of the plants he was busted with are clones the grow shop gave him before ratting him out. I'd love to post the grow shop name, but it gives away too much with regards to my location. Anyway, keep it safe and have some fun with the growing experience.

One thing kinda bugs me. You mention you worry about this guy visiting when he gets out. WTF is up with that? Plain and simple; He's a RAT. The thing is, STUPID doesn't change. This fuck is not gonna change. Not enough to make up for what happened. Your best bet is to make sure that this friend(?) knows that not only is the welcome mat not extended, but his physical health is in jeapordy if he show's his face again.
Where I come from, if you got a friend that is a rat, you're a rat. Cut this MF off and out.

Haven't been here in a while, no plants to tell about, etc... Moving has happened but can't say growing will. My fiance is just about done with her masters in nusing and is looking for a new job. Can't say where we'll land.
I think he dead ended things with the cops. He told them about the grow shop that sold him weed and clones, and the grow shop was the one that pointed him out as an illegal grower. The current news is his arrainment (is that the right word???) or hearing for sentencing/plea bargain will be on the 19th of this month. His closest friends have made it clear he dies if he talks. Glad to not be part of that. Whole thing still fucking sucks. I guess lately I've been thinking about even how many cops have died in pot raids during the war on drugs. That's more people dying than the drug itself has killed, just makes no fucking sense.

I haven't been in for a while, but I just wanted to post the end of the story. The judge and DA where in a good mood and he got 6 months of house arrest and 4 years of probation and $10K fine.
No hard time, we were all glad he got off this easily cause none of us grew on his scale or magnitude.
