Yeah for sure. I never expected Obama to sign some executive order and legalize weed, my problem with him has been the mocking/dismissive attitude that he has publically expressed towards legalization. His lack of follow through when it comes to reigning in the DEA/etc. He doesn't seem to have the balls to come out against it publically nor does he have the balls to come out in support of it, so he tries to just dodge questions/joke around and make it seem like it's not a big deal.

you are right, the Prez cannot unilaterally "legalize" weed. but, he COULD call the heads of the DEA & FDA into his office & tell them - "i want cannabis taken completely off of the schedules. you work for me. get it done by next week, or turn in your resignations & the folks i give your jobs to WILL do it. now, get the fuck out of my office..." Congress would go rabid batshit crazy, but there is nothing they could do except to try to pass laws state by state...which aint gonna work, the way things look. lots of states aint moved because they are scared of the big bad Feds coming down on their scared shitless little selves...
