multi strain flushing

multi strain flushing

Ok heres one for all you ebb and flow growers who want to grow multi strains in one rez. As you can see nutes hasnt been an issue only 1 strain has been fussy but looks like yield will not be an issue. Now you say how can you flush when you got strains that will finish from 60-80 days, I ask the exact question in another thread a few months back. After giving this a little thought this is what I did, 1st I let the main rez PPM drop to about 700ppm so not to shock the plants, then made a trip to wally world for a couple of starite 15qt storage bins, cuts some holes in the top to fit the 5.5 sq pots, added a couple of bubble wands, dropped the plants in, instant DWC flushing system. I'm running the water level about 1 inch up on the pots, 1st I ran a flora cleen mixture for 4 hours then dumped that water and refiiled with pure RO water and they have been bubbling away for 2 days and the plants have shown no ill reaction so looks like its a go I top off once a day by pouring water over the hydroton. The Heris, the Robert Plant and Mongolian indica are all starting to show amber trics so those are flushing and will be chopped sometime this week at 60+ days. As these are flushed the others got a fresh rez full of 1000ppm GH nutes and continue on. Pretty simple huh

And the Cherry Bombs and Love Potion, the ogers is in there some where to, If they make it I'll take them to 70-80 days but right now there pretty much falling all over each other holding each other up and the trics are clear.

Thank to all for the awesome response to my flushing idea, Its working great so far, the 4 plants have been flushing since Friday night and there happy as can be and sucking up water like crazy. Not to bad for an $11 investment The Heri's trics are 50/50 amber cloudy and the RP and MI are about 10% amber. Ill probley chop this weekend at about 64 days.
