A Mars Hydro LED Thread

i never do threads anymore but here is a thread. lost a lot to OG and CW...
i won 2nd hand a mars hydro contest. i have thanked
them both many times.. thanks guys.. thought long and
hard what to get. after much debate i chose 2 of the
TSL2000's. i have many options that way vs 1 light.
for this thread i am going to bloom some plants. will
add 1 at a time every 2-3 weeks. so to start will be using
1 of the LED's. next to space i still have 2 plants under 1k.
so will be getting side light from that until there done.
i have got the lights now but have not unboxed them yet.
i have to clean up spot. move a 1k out of the way and build
a moving rack to mount lights on. today i semi cleaned spot
moved a 1k to a corner out of way kind of. banged head a few
times so put some red tape on it lol. got as far as i can till i
get part's to build rack. i hope to be ready on sunday. i have
1 plant that's ready to bloom.

well was told to open the boxes. i just sat
them in a corner. well they are not plug and play.
unboxed them looks like a bit of work. is night
so if not raining tomorrow. i might piece them
together. glad i looked would have been bummed
about to hang and needs put together. anyway
they look ok. more later.

ok 1 had a ding on corner not to bad.
i put together today. not bad 3 wires and
6 thumb screws. then plugged each in and
they work fine dimmer and all. now i need
parts to hang from. getting close.
made in china assembled in USA.

Haha, you are lucky. seems you get the new white version. The old version is like this.

Compared to the old version, many details have been improved. We mounted the chips like our FCE light. It is not even layout. the PPFD becomes more uniform.
All in all, the new version looks more tidy and beautiful. And it has better performance than old version.

i got parts for a rack to hang from today.
did not have proper size T's so i had to make due.
here is rack for the LED's

then i hung the LED's and put 1st plant into bud.
i number my plants so this is #2 is old A11

then is getting some side lighting from a 1k as a
plant finishes. is only about 4-5' away.
2-3 weeks or so. then will be just the LED's

so that is about it.
will add another plant in 2 weeks or so.
just for info. i make my own soil. there in 1 gal pot's.

well a weekly update.
noticed a little more stretch this 1st week. nothing to bad.
i trim down last plant under the 1k next sunday. is 4' away.
it will be missing the side light it is getting now. will add a 2nd
plant next sunday also. will plug in other side of the led then.
kind of nice can use 1/2 of led by unplugging a cord.

Good on ya Lrus - I like the retro black and white pics - reminds me of the old Adam's family TV series for some odd reason - some of the best old movies were black and white - grow on compardre!

well i added a plant today. i also trimmed a plant that
was under a 1k. so no more 1k side light 4' away after
today. i have added chem d #10 . i number my plants.
looking good so far on the 1st plant. a bit of yellowing
so fed it well tonight. plan on adding another next sun.
then will be turning on 1/2 of 2nd led for it. new plant
is on the left of photo. that's about it enjoy

noticed a little sun burn today on some tops.
to much light, i like that idea. so i have turned
the lights down a little with dimmer. then moved
light up also. will see if i need to raise some
more tomorrow. just thought i would update
as things happen.

was going to add 1 plant but both were same size
so i added 2 plants today #11 indica and #3 columbo today

then here is a photo of all 4 now

so far working well cept the burn live and learn...

Not sure why the black and white pics but your plants might benefit from more Mg.

here is all 4

here are the 2 newer ones a week in.

then 1st plant is starting to bud nicely

seem to be working nice so far.
a small learning curve but i learn quickly.
