Nope…just old technologySo I finally got my truck back together. Had enough rain and snow days to work on it. But the shifter is loose. So had to take the shifter out. The top cover shifter pin has broken. So now I have to fix that.
Went online to find one and it was $20. A pin that is steel and 1/2" in diameter and 5/8" long. Going to see if I can get one locally. Seem like it is a common wear item since you need to pull it to get the transmission in and out to change the clutch.
Its not like it is space age metal from the stars. Not even anodized to look pretty.
They made hundreds of thousands if not millions of them. I know I am not the only one that is running this. They were built from the early sixties to the early nineties. Maybe even earlier than that. I found a youtube video of one that was from 1962.Nope…just old technology
