I replaced my water heater last year. I upgraded to a 50 gallon tank. It was cheaper than a 40 gallon because it had a dent. I figured hell that's nothing compared to the dents it will have when I muscle it down the stairs to the basement.

In fact last year I did the pressure tank and all the parts around that for the well. Also the heating element in the dryer, the clutch in the washing machine, and the thermocouple in the stove. All in about 2 months.

Did the furnace this last spring. Going to redo the roof in the spring. Might refresh some of the siding then too.

Thinking about redoing the kitchen this winter. Need to make a little room in the grow to build the cabinets.

I also replaced that switch that is triggered when the lid is down. But that is all I have done to the washer since I got it in 1994. It was used.

I just feed the wife and she does the laundry. We'll buy her food anyway. She cooks it.

:tumbleweed:mornin campers....garden chore day again...and a trip to the grow store to get the stuff i forgot last time i went...and back to the bike shop to drop off the tool i borrowed...but no trimming:jump:

the bad news, gonna have to get a real plumber in to replace the water heater...but the ll agreed with the notion of upgrading to a tankless heater if that doesn't cost too much...so i guess i get to clean out the garage a bit and maybe break down a tent and move plants...good thing it's legal now, otherwise maybe not such a good idea to have a stranger over...gonna make a call and see if my buddy knows a 420 friendly plumber...

Sounds like you are worried about the gas hookup? They are pretty easy to put in. A tankless is mounted on the wall and will need to be plumbed to the water lines, gas shutoff and exhaust. Easy way to go is a tank. A dolly helps with them but they'll deliver and the old one some recycler would snatch it in an instant off the curb.

my useful friend called,he's going do it for me...getting one close to the same size and there's flexline at all the connections so should be easy...it's the most common type/size water heater
