The lighting, saturation and palette of colours in that pic is just perfect. Almost like a painting. Very nice!

I've heard of red stag in Europe goring rabbits and drinking the blood to supplement their super low iron intake. I guess nature finds a way... a new source of abundance, in times of deficit. That worries me, when it comes to people facing starvation. The lions at the zoo are pretty chill, as long as they have sides of beef tossed into their cages regularly.
As ugly as the meat industry is, we as well as other predator/ prey species are likely dependent on it now. Farming and agricultural were the easier, more dependable roads. It also left us weaker, disconnected, more susceptible and less adaptable in other ways. Nature was the perfect system, and we've fucked that up. After a few generations, Pandora's box was open and we couldn't (wouldn't) return to true sustainability. Now, it seems we have to borrow from Peter to pay Paul for a food pellet. Lame. Easier, yes, but an intricate and precarious system with many variables.

:tumbleweed:mornin campers...off to the store in a bit...the igniter in my oven is dead, and it looks like it's one of those things that's suddenly hard to find in spite of being a fairly universal part...one more local shop to call...in the mean time i'm gonna grab a toaster over dealy...just regular garden chores today plus getting some clones into cups...windy as fuck out today, cold front coming..

We’ve been thinking about getting one of those air fryers, not that we need another kitchen gadget to occupy counter space but all my friends that have them really use theirs a lot.

i'll be interested to see how it does...i'm waiting for the initial cycle to finish to burn off any manufacturing crud...actually following the directions for once...not having any luck finding the 20 dollar part i need to fix the oven so i had to spend 100 bucks to solve the problem for now....
