That looks good Joe! Id smoke it.

If you pick before the trics go amber it should come out lighter colored. Clear trics can make some crazy, almost clear rosin. People will pay top dollar for the clear stuff.

Have you had the experience that the lighter color stuff isn't as strong ? Or I should say the buzz doesn't last as long ? That's been my experience with stuff I make.

I've had to chop crops at like 5-6 weeks(multitude of reasons) , and not wanting to take a total hit, I blasted it all. Super light color, read stuff thru it type stuff and smelled real good. Except the buzz didn't last that long.

Now stuff I finish, the trim without any flowers used to make it. That stuff comes out darker in color(not black, but not clear, yellow mud? ) , but seems to last a whole lot longer , on the getting high side of things.

Thoughts ?

Hot ! Hot ! Hot! I don't like it Hot!. Makes me sweat and feel bad. I had yo reverse the intake fan to exhaust in veg. Its was blowing hot air in. Its that time of year again. Summer growing isn't my thing. I get super bummed when I see my girls not happy. I'm just gonna run some testers until the weather cools off.

Your going to have more body high from the darker rosin, but the clear is more bright and up high. It also fetches a lot more money.

GG4 puts out a fairly long lasting high milky color rosin when picked a little early. The darker gg4 rosin sells for $60 a gram, and clear is higher. Up to $120 a gram for an clear elite rosin with all terps present and loud.

One of our clear extracts sold out in less then 2 hours, and that plant was a large loud smelling GG4 x Headband x Headband cross

I bet its hotter here, just north east of you!

Its 103 out there right now, 21% humidity
Indoors its 66 degrees, @ 44%

The one good thing I have here at night is something called the Delta Breeze. There is 1000 miles of inland waterways in the Delta just to the west of me, and the wind blows over the top of it my way and cools down real nice at night.

Let me bounce something off you guys. Pot plants can take bery high temperatures outdoors. Ive seen my plants going bat shit crazy jumping up inches a day in 115 degrees.

The upper portion of the plant can take it and thrives at those temps. Its the root zone that can not take the heat. If you guys wrapped your pots in copper coils of cooling liquid, that ran through a heat exchanger, or some other type of medium cooler you could run your rooms as hot as it gets outside.

Lot's of people run chillers for hydro. In soil/coco I think if the coil was in the medium you would have better luck.

I wonder if the wider spectrum of light could be a factor also. Summer sun and fall sun are different, As are temps.

I think water chillers are a waste. But I don't live in an arid-zona type of area. So maybe that jades my view point.

I had some lettuce growing last year under one of my lights. It must have been around 85degrees in the room but the leaves felt about 10degrees cooler, I was surprised in the difference in the surface temp of the leaves from that of the air temp along with the radiant heat from the light.

i have wrapped black pots in a light coloured shade cloth and that helped keep the pots cooler...

part of the heat problem there is the black pots. Lots of garden shops put mulch of some kind around the pots of some of the potted plants. Dig down into the soil 6-12 inches and you can feel how much cooler the soil get farther/deeper into the soil.

Smoking on some SD. Damn impressive. Although the plants I grew out, they all have slightly different tastes in the buds between the plants.

That's because people use the "report post", so the mods are faster to act. some times you never see those posts because the mod already mopped thing up before you even log in. But you are right about it being persistent.

Mods have been on top of their game :tiphat:

Nice trophy Joe...You have every right to be proud!:tiphat:

Back to you guys indoor mites problem...
I'm not sure about mites, especially indoors,

But, outdoors I sometimes have problems with aphids, especially on my tomato plants...
Since they're both sap sucking bugs, I thought this might help you, it's what I use...

"Murphey's Oil Soap"
You can buy it cheap most anywhere...
Mix about 2 or 3 oz. in a gallon of water and spray til your plants are soaked... Don't forget to spray the bottoms of the leaves...

Don't know about mites, but it smothers aphids deader than a door nail....

The active ingredient is the same in Murphy’s and m- pede. The potassium salt is 49% in Castille soap as well, difference between brands is the oils and fragrances if any that make up the other half of the product.
