A Guide to Fishsticks

Going light as hell. 1 tsp every two gallons. It's recycled soil like five runs so it's pretty trashed. I'm guessing low ph and heat. If you try to feed maxi hard without adjusting ph it drops like crazy. I reckon I overdosed the last couple of runs and fucked up my dirt. Fresh soil mix for the next run ha

lol,i have a better answer for you now...you fucked something up,stop doing that and the problem will go away!

:tumbleweed:well, that was an interesting ride...sorta went exploring, got into some sandy nonsense, realized it was only getting to be more nonsense than i was really prepared for,got back out to the roads and took a quick spin on some trails, got on some jeep roads and got back into the outskirts of town and headed back to do my errands,so a 2.4 mile trip to wallyworld turned into 24.5 miles....and still back before it got too hot...

ummmm..maybe,i would need to know more about your set up in order to give you more than a "shoot from the hip" diagnosis...

but what that looks like to me is that you're having some heat issues perhaps and the plants transpiration is being compromised in some fashion so its over-drawing on K to compensate and thats causing your P to be locked out...but once again, its just a guess...

if you look at the sick plant guides and read the blurbs on each element and how they inter-relate and the possible causes of what you're seeing something will make sense when you think about your system and whats been going on with your room conditions and watering/feeding habits...
Yup the joe fresh guide is the best trouble shooter out there. If you reed it you will find your problem and know how to fix it.

lmao  kinda what I was thinking.

Tony have you checked the run off? I made the mistake of reusing my promix to many times once and had leached the lime out to the point it wasn't buffering like it should. I reused my mix for years but would always toss in a cup or 2 of lime every 3/4 times of use and never had a problem. Missed that 1 step on the 5th run and BAM!!!!!!!!!!!
I have found that 99% of the problems I have encountered have been ph related. Hope you get it sorted.

Checking the runoff will get you going in the right direction. 1st thing I check when I see issues,.

Ya its PH, I need to just buck up and buy the fucking meter at last. Need to up my game here. The test strips show it low around 6 or maybe slightly less but you cant tell for sure with that shit.

Can someone point me to good easy reliable readers? Cash is tight as always so i need to make sure i get the right good shit. Every time I start to look I get overwhelmed in trying to make the right choice.

Im sure everyone has hit it on the head, the ph is surely swinging in that pot.

So guys, what meters can you guys recommend for me that aint shitty and I can use to do a successful coco grow, dan told me awhile back but I forgot ha!

If I am doing my soil mix i dont need the ph its always perfect but when i get into the maxi feeds on the recycles im really just winging it. I cant afford to do that anymore ha!

:smoke out:puff em up gents!

i dont know anything about meters...dont use em myself...

well, pretty unproductive day, aside from taking a ride that is,which counts in my book...
took a nap,put the 29+ wheels back on the ict, noticed some play in the cranks, need to buzz by the shop tomorrow and get that looked at or have them tell me how to fix that myself...

Tony here is the1 I use https://www.amazon.com/Oakton-EcoTe...id=1465605358&sr=8-1&keywords=oakton+ph+meter
Dont bother with the storage or cleaning solutions. I use the 4.0 and 7.0 calibration fluids and store my meter in the 4.0. It is acidic enough to keep the probe clean and you can turn it on and make sure it is reading right before even removing the cap. I have used 2 trouble free for 7 years now. change the batteries every 6 months and hardly ever need to calibrate.

So I went out for a walk today. My wife was complaining about us walking up a hill for about a mile in the woods. It had about a 30 degree grade. On the way back down this stone rolled down next to me for about 200 feet. It was like a pet rock.

So I was thinking this would be a good spot for fishsticks to bike. There was even this tree that was about 5 feet in diameter that had split into about 5 pieces and fell in all different direction. Kids had painted it all kinds of colors. It is called the hippy tree. That is good for the other people here like dans.

:yoinks: i've said it before, the walmart parking lot has got to be one of the most dangerous places to ride a bike...and it was little old ladies in giant suv day in the parking lot today! gotta get someplace safe like some rock choked trail out in the desert!

:toohot: talk about good timing...finally got around to putting the new belt on the cooler...the old one was just about to split....dont think it would have lasted the day...and as a bonus it sped the fan back up so its really cooling the house down....

just waiting on the bike shop to open, then back for chores...early day tomorrow, gotta get up at like 4:30 to get to the meeting spot at 6....

:good: sweet! that was an easy fix for the crankset, and i learned how to deal with it should it happen again...thats good,at this point i hate taking the bike to the shop unless i simply dont have the tools or knowledge to deal with whatever problem im having...or just get frustrated to the point where im going to start breaking stuff...

just need to decide if im going to wear a pack tomorrow...just have to see if i can fit everything...i really need to invest in a frame bag to fit the ICT...maybe after this next harvest...

theres a few sat dishes around the park ,but not on ours , no wifi or vending machines , but a tiny general store that takes care of most park matters .
