The sativa looks very nice, I had a plant like that which turned its leaves up and it was purple, I wonder why they do it, I have found out that outside, when light is little or if it gets a bit cool they turn their leaves up, maybe to conserve some heat? Tobacco plants do it as well.
What is the method you suggest for making your wormcastings?

They turn their leaves up when they are in supreme health and are reaching for the light. They burn alot of energy during this time. And they feed. That girls is sitting directly under a 1k Horitlux Blue about 16 inches away. I'am using a Hortilux because of the broad spectrum of light it gives off. it is not quit a high as a HP but not much difference and it has a wide range in the blue also. it is a more balanced light. I really am getting good results so far with it.

The best way to make your casting is to build a worm bin at home and get the "red wrigglers". there are many articles on Vermiculture.

Smurf, you have that one right. Nothing but organics. Ya and they do catch up with those legs fast, don't they?

I am always amazed what a little organic majic can do. nothing like it. That is what I want to show everyone.

Relik, I really love doing nug shots. Can't wait until I cut them. i'm glad you like them. they are not perfect. A little tip burn because I was pushing them a bit I think. But those Grapefruits can take a push.

Jaykush, I will take a group shot of the girls next time I post for you.
The girls or the buds?

And to all.......Thanks you for the props. i will try and not let you all down.

jaykush, Here is the group shot you asked for. And please forgive my bad photo taking skills.

They are starting to show good root developement.

The more developed ones recieved a 1/4 strength shot of Maxi-crop fish emulsions. With 1/4 strength Maxi-crop liquid seaweed and 1/4 strength LK.
Last night. The smaller ones only recieved water until they show more root developement.

Over all they are looking good for me. I have a hard time with seedlings sometimes.

Once the roots have developed a little further I will transplant to the one gallon containers. I will prepare them later this weekend to have them ready for transplant. I take each container and add the admendments I will use and let them sit for a few days.

The admendments will be:

Per gallon container:

1 tbls High N Mexican guano (I only use one because of the N count in the compost)
1 tsp Jamican High P guano (also has N), P for root developement.
2 tbls Dolomite lime per gallon
1 oz Plant Success (Mycorrhizal fungi)
1 tbls Algimin Kelp meal (veg only) if available at time of transplant

To the regular Organic crew. All tips accepted. :)

Sorry jaykush, I was a little buzzzzzzzed last night. :)

you and me both haha.

man those things have variety, going to be some very different plants in the end. are these f1's?

I believe so. I will go back to MODs thread and re-read it to make sure. The bigger ones had cracked while in the soaking solution. They came out of the starting gate flying. The smaller ones opened in the paper towel. Most of the smaller ones are just getting their second set of leaves.

Only 5 of the 17 are lagging behind. And one had an accident and died of her injuries.

cool V, variety is always nice to some extent. it will help you find the pheno you like more. Are you foiliar feeding these little babies? id spray em with at least water once a day.

Try "Sanfaustino" brand mineral water, a natural calcium and magnesium supplement with zero sodium and a pH of 5.9 (perfect!!!).....also the dissolved CO2 can still be
absorbed by the stomata just like atmospheric CO2 gas......

damn that was fast, good that you do it. got any ff mixes you like to use? I think they love a good spray with vitamin c and some kelp a few times a week, always extra green and happy the next day.

Thanks GP, I will try and find that brand. Always looking for something better.

jaykush, I usually use a light Maxi Crop seaweed and LK solution. I have not started that yet. on the older ones I think it is time. I also will use a diluted tea I have brewed but I will wait until they are older. don't want to burn them.

hey von greath thread bro! this was very much needed in our organic soil forums. :joint: your plants are doing amazing, I really like your happy girl plant she is thriving!!! That is exactly how you know when your plant is producing to the max, when the leaves are pointing straight up.

hey got a quick question, the Black Velvet mushroom compost your using, is it peat based ? Is there any peat in it? im still on the quest for a non-peat based mushroom compost.

thanks
