A few problems with my friends plants.

One of my friends wanted me to post about problems with his plant. He posted this on a different forums Cannabis thread. This is what he said:

I fear my plant is going to die. Now the weird part is that I have no clue why I use distilled water to water every 3-4 days, and every few weeks I water it with fertilizer. I have like 6 floros giving it light on all sides and a giant fan blowing on it.


Now the only problem is for some reason the plants leaves are drooping and there stems are turning deep red color it started with the lower fan leaves and worked its way so that now ALL the fan leaves are COMPLEATLY drooped with dark red stems.
I mean there flat against the main stem here and i dont know why
now the secondary growth seems fine besides that there 100 percent hidden behind the droopy fan leaves.

also i know this sounds like a phos def but im using 15 20 15 fert

He also could only get a picture of the stem, you can't see much, except the color.

If you guys can help it would be really appreciated.

Well depending on what soil mixture he is in, I bet they are hungry; you can't feed your plant every few weeks; if they been in there mixture for more than 20 days they need to be fed weekly.

The picture is so small I can't see a thing.

I need more grow information:

How much was he feeding when he did feed, when was the last feeding?
Is he checking the pH? What is the pH of his run off?
Distilled water is only good when you test the pH, distilled has no micronutrients so you rob your plant of micros; unless you have a full micronutrient feeding I would not use distilled water.

It's bad to use for seedlings...... seedlings need those micronutrients to help grow untill they establish a root system, this goes for big plants; they need those micros as food until they get fed with there NPK ferts.

What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?no some leaves fell off
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?
Are plant's infected with pest's?small flying insects seem to live in the soil

Sounds like you got some possible fungus gants, you need to get some mosquito dunks from the hardware store or garden shop and use 1/2 dunk to a gallon of water and wait around 7 to 10 days before another application if needed.

Another thing that was left out, how much is he using with how much water?

Fungus gnats steal nutrients from the soil too, so you need to get rid of the gnats, if that is what it is.

How long have they been in the mixture? Is it the mixture that has 3 months timed released ferts?

I can't tell if you need to feed or what, because depending on the strain some plants can't take the MG soil well...... so it could either be a combination of things, one thing the bugs got to go, your plants could either be burned or need food; good pics will have to be posted if you want your answer though.

I dissolve these miracle grow nute disks into whatever it says on the package 1 gallon i belive

I don't understand why don't he post here?
Those pics are not there, so I don't know what would be wrong, it's either you got fert burn or your not feeding enough, one or the other I am guessing.

Not smart at all to even post pics like that on photobucket.
