This won't literally be about a day in my garden... it will be a running thread with pictures of what I grow, techniques I employ (always trying something new), and high definition facial images of growers I know... ha! Not that, but this should be pretty fun for me! Even without exposing friends' faces publicly. Darn!
Although I have plenty of plants in flower, like SFV OGKush, Sour Diesel, Killer Queen, OGKush/Master Kush, Chem D, Super Silver Haze, etc... I'd like to start this off in the intended spirit of this thread. Not just the pretty flowers, but the reality of how we get to the big, greasy bud stage.
Here is my new(ish) grow tent. I've wanted to try one of these tents for a long time, finally got one. I love it! These plants were grown under just a 6 bulb t-5 light. I will be doubling the bulbs in there up to 12, soon. I like the growth pattern on these plants, so the light spectrum seems to be doing well... now we just need to double the lumens!
All these ladies are Chemdawg D clones, with the exception of the small lady in the middle, which is a Galadriel (C99xSour Diesel). Galadriel's Cinderella 99 genetics are apparent in this plant already because of how much slower she veges than the Chem D.
All of my plants are currently being fed (only) General Hydroponics 3-part, with the addition of General Hydroponics' Floraliscious Plus. The Floraliscious Plus has Humic acid and other organic goodies. Gen Hydro all by itself (in MY opinion) grows pot with a less-than-ideal smell/taste profile... It seems somewhat empty to me... again, just my opinion. The addition of Floraliscious Plus has been great! It has added back a lot of that rich, clean organic smell/taste I'm after.
All my girls are in straight, unadulterated coco coir. Fed at 1000ppm, 5.8-6.0 pH... Fed every day, unless the foliage is obviously able to take a day without feeding, in which case they do get a day of just water... occasionally. The Gen Hydro nutes are so well adjusted, the plants tend to eat it right up, meaning they need to be fed almost every day, at least a little. Feeding every day in coco means you run the risk of watering too often (water on top of water). So, air circulation needs to go up, and relative humidity needs to go down... until the plants start needing water every day. It's like artillery... you need to adjust your fire constantly to get it just right.
