well its really up to you andhow much space you have. did you want to crop them to get more shoots then lst? or do you want to fimm them and and then lst? or do you want them to be one single cola and then lst them? do you see here bud that is are many different ways you can take before you lst. i have heard that if you single cola let them get 2 ft or so them flop them over. i did mine at 8-10in due to space but i also fimmed 4 and croped 2 just to see which one worked better.

well to keep it simple you can just use LST and nothing else. though topping and fimming create more branching quicker. to lst i would start when they have at least 4-5 nodes grown. then just give them a slight bend to start the lean then the next day set them for good. watering that day helps soften up the stems so breaking them is harder.

they both have very vallid points all i am trying to explain is that if you want to really make them little bushes then fimming or croping maybe a posibility....FIMMING- is whare you cut 80% of the top growth w/out taking off the whole top. Il add pics to show differance.

CROPING- is taking the plant and cutting the stem at the top of the plant. always remember that is you do this you have a better chance of affecting your plants in a neg way. ( just had to say it) and always a good rule of thumb is that is you do crop early to to make sure you do it in a 45degree angle.

and here is how my garden looks as of yesterday
