the cab is like 4 foot from a ac vent blowing on it. So i think that will help.

I ended up cutting a bigger intake hole in the back bottem of the cab. i plan on getting some 8" dark room vents for the middle of the bloom room. thanks for all the advice with that!

I am going to try out this fan if it does not work out i will get the stanley blower and mod it.

NOW, i know a few people have used this mod. I need to know the noise factor of it. The 110 cfm bathroom fan is almost too loud. I was able to weather strip it with 1/2 inch stuff.

With my PUMP and VENT FAN you can walk next to the cab and it sounds kind of like a fride when it is on. That is GOOD. and i want to keep it that way.

UPDATE:
I added the smaller weather stripping today. I used some glue to make sure it sticks good.



I put my camera in the cab with all the lights on in the house and set the camera to leave the lense open for longer ( trying to catch any light at all) and i got 10 diffrent 100% black pictures.

I also added the "SECURITY" to the cab. I need to find something to cover up the 8 small screws coming out of the front of the cab BUT that will come.

A few questions. I plan on building a cab and you're starting to seriously convince me to go with the C24 (If Home Depot still has them).

1. Does this thing REALLY WEIGH 200 POUNDS? How the hell did you get it home??!

One of the things I need is the ability to break the cab down in a day or two notice if I plan on moving. Would you say that once constructed, taking this thing apart would be amazingly difficult to do?

2. I plan on doing the exact same thing you did as far as your res and making the shelf be the top for the DWC unit. As Im sure youre well into your first grow with this cab, what is your method for changing out the nutes on this? And how easy do you find it to be? Where do you put the roots for the plant when you do this?? My plan was to drop a submersible water pump in there when it's changing time and get it to suck most of the water out that way. Please let me know how you manage this.

3. Why did you need to get a backboard for this unit? Doesn't the C24 come with a back? And if you were to do it again, would you use particle board this time around?

4. Have the door/sealing/lightleaks been a serious issue for you thus far? How have you dealt with it?

5. Im betting you needed a bigger/more capable fan. What did you end up going with and whats the constant temp in your cab?

6. Why didnt you move the air pump in with the res instead of having it in another compartment?

7. How large is that bin you are using for your res? Id like to know what would fit into there. And how much room do you have left over for height?

I can't really think of any other q's and I know this is an old thread but I hope you will read and update this and answer some of my questions. Thanks for contributing!
