subrob, Thanks for the info. I've grown some Chem D bx3, and I'm about to try some 91 bx3. Both came from a company that some say dont' have the real deal. I've smoked their D bx3 from a grow I helped tend and thought it was intense, really intense. The reason I dropped a 100 bones on a pack of my own, got their 91 bx3 too, cause I had some extra money to burn at the time. I see Backyard Farmer is banned here, and I wonder why ?? Seems to happen a lot in these Chem threads. I was just saying, I can believe more than a few people have or had the real deal cuts. Seems like a lot of trading, sharing, maybe even some selling of cuts happened on cuts that weren't suppose to be shared. Even some stolen according to a few folks. I'll chime in later after I've grown mine. It would be nice to obtain all the real deal cuts, but I wonder if the dispensaries that sell them really have legit stuff. I bought one OG last year, and another (named) one this year, and they were exactly the same plant, no doubt in my mind. IMHO marketing fucks us all. I wonder why Good Ole Dog hasn't posted in so long ? Reading between the lines, seems like he was going to say something, then didn't. Anyway, I guess I shouldn't care. If these pan out, great, and if not I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Excellent post sub... i agree 100% the 91 is great but theres other things around n i personally don't run it. N imo out of all the cuts the D is the only one thats truely special.... 91 is fuel skunk can find that elsewhere, the sis is good but D has everything the sis got n more , 3 is bland , awesome structure but fukin not worth shit, 4 is the best grower n yielder outta them all , type citrus chem skunk , only prob with the 4 is since she is such a monster grower everyone ran her to death... most markets are just burnt out on the 4.. but the D has a funk so unique rotten its my fav without a doubt...

Can Anyone that has the Chemdog 91' Skunk VA cut, give a detailed smoke report and comparison to Chemdog #4 and Chemdog D?

4 is like a bitter citrus peel...tastes identical to "orange cookies" that are so popular today imho of course. 91 is pretty much an og. D is a mix between bad breath, asshole, armpits, and a little bit of garlic for good measure...leaves a flemmy feeling after blazin it.

What do you think that Snowdawg is we talked about? Reason im asking is the folks that originally sourced that snowdawg in norcal also have a chemdog cut- Ive seen it grown, smoked it, hashed it, etc- definitely Chem and not the D, 4, or 91. and honestly easily as potent as the D. Curious if maybe an s1 or something, but much more along the lines of the snowdawg we discussed. Ive shown those norcal cats the d, 4, and diesels and they hadn't even seen those.

On to next part- I know a very reputable old school breeder with similar experience and he said they were already copping chemdog p's in the early-mid 90's and not only has he run the currently circulated snowdawg, 4, and D any chem he ran before was way different. Kinda curious what these others ones are, where they fit in the story or who else was slangin p's of fire "chemdog" back then. He recently gave me old chemdog and snowdawg seeds from that time frame. Ill have to ask him when abouts those came from but hoping they are similar to the snowdawg or chemdog ive tried from certain circles- as those imo taste better than D/4/91, are beast yielders and more potent. They are all definitely closest to the D in aroma though- rotten skunk chem.

Was it called chemdog when they were getting it in the 90s? If it was it came from G and crew, if not probably either dog bud from same source G acquired his seeds or something of similar pedigree, ie superskunk.

G came up with the chem dog name so unless your boys crew knew G's crew it's unlikely they both came up with the same name coincidentally.

Oh ya Im definitely not saying they came up with the name, he said they were just buying pack from someone already at that point. Hes thrown me some s1's before and they were more D/4 looking for sure. And I was incorrect, the chemdog/snowdawg seeds i just got were from early 2000's so post "chem pop".

Im just curious what these other cuts floating around are and how they work in, cuz the snowdawg and chem from a few circles are definitely different. UNless the sis (which i havent run) is almost like D but better, guess that could be a chance on the straight chemdog cut they have.

Fwiw, I've seen a "Chemdawg/Chemdog" cut that came from legit folks that was unlike any of the known Chems. If I had to describe its aroma I'd say more "spicy B.O." than the D and had some faint notes of the #4 to it in the background. It was all mosaiced up and pretty old from what I heard. I just assumed it was and s1 of one of the "real" cuts...again, fwiw.

I wonder if there's any connection between the unknown chem your pals have and the joebrand 91 chemdog cut that turned out to not be the 91.

There has to have been more bag seed found out of those units of Dogbud that made it to Co. One has to assume it was going to multiple destinations and I wouldn't be surprised if someone in NorCal popped some and ran with it...maybe.

I could see that maybe being the case, definitely has the diesel funk and flavor as Joe B 91 was described. And nice beefy yield.

Love the Chem Dawg family. Incredible what the strain has done for the recent push in potency in flavor across many breeders in recent history. Cheers!
