Well, I got around to upgrading my light. My little ngb cab is now rocking a 100w cmh bulb. It looks a lot brighter in there now and the pictures come out looking better too.

grouchy- wat are the differences between a CMH and an MH?

How does it do vs. HPS?

Are they good for flowering and vegging?

I am not the best person to describe the differences but I will include a link to the the thread which is over 350 pages long.

Ceramic Metal Halide - http://icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=72215

The short and quick version is that you can flower and veg very well with these bulbs and they also put off some UV light too. The UV light is said to make for more resin(thc) on the plant. They also cut down on veg time compared to mh bulbs which can speed up production time as well.

Compared to the same size bulb in hps the cmh bulbs run cooler too. This can be really helpful when it comes to micro growing.

Everything I read about them was screaming "perfect for micro" and I wanted to try it out. I will definitely keep you guys updated with how well it works.

My favorite part so far is how good it makes the pictures of the plants look. It also makes it easier to spot problems with the plants as the light color is more natural.

Anyone that is interested should read as much of that thread as possible before coming to any conclusions as there is a TON of info to learn about these. Also feel free to ask me questions and I will help as much as I can.

How many plants you got? One plant can fill a scrog but two plants can fill it twice as fast. I think the 70w is good for about 1.5 sq. ft. of flat screen. If you curve the ends of the screen up you can get a larger screen area. How big is your area?

I have just 1 plant right now but later i might have like 4 plants.

My screen is about 14x14 inches and my closet is about (3x3x5,5) feet.

I think 70w is good for me. i have stealth grow so i cant keep door open very much. if i put my 250w hps, the closet gonna allmost burn.
