I never deal with very much weight and I dont own a scale so its hard for me to guage the harvest so far. The buds on the Small hempy that I just chopped are REALLY dense. If I HAD to guess I would probably say the Sweet Warp yielded about an oz, and the Small Hempy about 1.5-2oz. As for the 2 girls yet to be chopped, I figure the large hempy will be right around 1.5-2oz as well, and the Blubonic I'm not really sure since shes still 10 or more days away from being done, but shes pretty big with lots of buds so id figure at least 2oz from her. Not the haul I was expecting, but should definately keep me smoking until my next harvest.
Thanks Dr Dog, I think shes going to end up being the gem of this round. She easily the best smelling (not very dank, but soooo fruity, reminds me of my first grow when i grew BOG's Lifesaver). Shes also starting to pack on the frost, and will end up being my best yielding plant from this run most likely. Yah, shoulda cloned her. Maybe I'll try to reveg.
Well, its day 58 and my Sweet Warp buds finished drying in their box and went into paper bags, so the Large Hempy got the chop today and is now in the drying box. Shes sweet and skunky.
Ooh and lo and behold what was waiting for me in the mailbox today? 2 packs of Rez's Double Strawberry Diesel and a pack of Legends Toe Jam (Cheese x Flo) along with Magus' Biddy's Sister and Sam the Skunkman's Original T Haze x Skunk #1 for freebies. Next round shall be awesome.
^yup of course I used air pumps. Its not that I wasnt impressed. Its just a matter of ease that im choosing to go entirely hempy buckets next round. I found DWC to be great, its just you have to be on the ball with it, constantly checking PH, making sure water temperature is never too warm, then you have all the problems that can arise if pumps die, changing the reservoir is a pain in the ass, etc.
Really though I'm still very much a noob at this, and for the next several grows i'll just be trying different things to see what method I'm most comfortable using. I very well may go back to DWC eventually. But next round I plan on going SOG style, and with a larger amount of plants I think the hempy buckets (or a hempy bed in a rubbermaid) would be the easiest route to take for that.
From this run what I really learned was that when you grow from seed its all about finding phenos, and with only 4 plants this round I believe I really didnt grow either strain to its potential. Once I have mothers chosen from my next round, and get the cloning game up and running, ill be able to run a smaller amount of plants, albeit ill grown larger. When that time comes I very well might switch back to 5 gallon DWC buckets.
My last girl from this run, the Blubonic in DWC, got chopped today, day 67 flower. Wow does she smell DANK. Up until the last week or so she just pretty much had a really nice berry smell (the most berryish of all my plants), but now she smells like dank ass skunk mixed with berries. She definately is my best yielding plant as well. Heres just a few random shots before she was hung up to dry.
Thanks to everyone whos stopped in to say hi or leave any comments. I'll be updating with some smoke reports in the near future.
Dude,
Nice blubonic man, very nice, be sure to check my blubonic thread in a few weeks as I am getting some flowers now
Nice collection of movies as well, I have most of those
I just caught myself up on your thread from a search result on sweet warp. I just harvested a sweet warp (or possibly papaya) outside. Im running a sweet warp DWC style in my garden right now that is 5 days into flower. Its a huge bush and has some calcium deficiency issues at the moment. I noticed some of your fan leaves look like they had the same issues, however you were much later in flower than i am. Anyways, let us know about a smoke report and maybe some dried bud shots so i can compare. The harvest looks good.
