600Watt Blubonic and Sweet Warp 30days flwr to harvest!

Hola all, this is my 3rd grow (my 1st was 4 years ago, 2nd was 2 years ago), though its my first time trying hydro. I've got 1 blubonic girl and 1 sweet warp girl in 5 gallon buckets (dwc), and then 2 other girls in hempy buckets, all under a 600 watt cool tube (being cooled by a 6inch vortex with odorsok for smell) The hempy bucket gals where started about a week after the dwc gals, but the seeds got mixed up, so i'll be trying to figure out which strain they are as we get closer to harvest. Hempy buckets, btw, are the easiest, most simplest method of growing I have ever used. You just drill a small hole in a bucket, about 2 inches from the bottom, fill the bucket with a mix of 4 parts perlite to 1 part vermiculite. They started off slow compared to the dwc, but once they hit the reservoir they shot up in growth. (as u can see from the pics, despite starting a week or so later than the dwc gals, the one hempy is taller than both)

They were veged for a little less than a month, and have been flowering for about 30 days. Fed with the Lucas formula using GH bloom and micro. Rhizotonic and hydroguard have been added, and I plan on using Humboldt's gravity in about a week to help fatten these girls up.

Ok on to the pics (and pardon the amateurish terrible shots, im a poor photographer and using an 8 year old camera)

Heres a canopy shot of the girls. The dwc sweet warp is on the bottom left, dwc blubonic is on the top right, and the other 2 are the hempys. Im gonna guess that the hempy on the top left is a blubonic, due to her heavy indica structure, the hempy on the bottom right is very sativa-y so she migth be a sweet warp gal.

The more sativaish hempy girl

Heres a shot of the smaller hempy, she has much chunkier buds then the rest and I imagine will be the first gal to get the chop.

And heres a couple random bud shots from the gals.

Thanks for stopping in! Ill be posting more pics as we get closer to harvest. Any advice is welcome, and I'll be here to answer any questions anybody may have.

Peace and much love! :rasta:

I am also rocking Blubonic have been growing it for about a year, and have one in reveg right now to become a future mother. Check out what I was able to do with it.
I am tagging this one, will be back to check on the progress
Good luck with your grow

hey namo, thanks for stopping in.

the hempy buckets are great, I think my next run will consist of almost entirely hempys. I've grown in soil before, and now dwc, but hempy is easily the simplest way to grow with all the benifits of hydro. At first I was a little doubtful, as the plants started off a bit slowly (compared to the dwc gals) but once their roots hit the reservoir (the 2 inches below the hole drilled in the bucket) the plants sky rocketed with growth and caught up to the dwc girls. IMO its a great method of growing hydro. You dont have to worry about rez temps, u dont have to worry about over watering, there are no pumps that can break and screw up your grow.

I think everyone should try a hempy bucket at least once. Just make one or two buckets to go along with your next grow and test em out, I promise you wont be dissapointed.

Use any size bucket, drill a small hole about 2 inches from the bottom, use a mix of 3 or 4 parts perlite to 1 part vermiculite, and water about every 2 days once the roots hit the rez. Easy stuff. The only people this method would be a disadvantage to would be people growing a large amount of plants.

Yeah it is not a weed smell you get from blubonic, it smells very sweet, not much skunk

blaaaaaaaah im such an idiot! last night I was sitting there and it just came to me, "Oh shit! I forgot to turn off the flouro I turned on when I took those pics!". :nono: So my poor gals had a little flouro on during their full lights out on monday, and for a couple hours last night! Argh! Good grief! Bad Snootch! :spank:

:bashhead:

I'll be keeping an eye out for bananas, none have showed up yet though.

I think from now on I'm going to buy a portable photography light, so I dont have to mess with any light actually in the grow room when i take pics.

Looking on the brightside, hopefully I can contain them if she hermies, and worse comes to worse ill get some seeds thatll allow me to grow these genetics again without having to reveg.

OK, Snootch, I am sooo confused:

"Use any size bucket, drill a small hole about 2 inches from the bottom, use a mix of 3 or 4 parts perlite to 1 part vermiculite, and water about every 2 days once the roots hit the rez."

What's the "rez"?

I'm not stoned, just stoopid!

aah,hopefully no bananas!

i think im going to try some hempys next run,its so easy, and faster.

and its easy to throw out perlite/vermiculite rather than soil.

hey jazztime dont worry you arent stupid, it took my a few read thru's of hempy's threads on another site to get it all figured out. The rez (reservoir) is everything below where you drilled your hole in the bucket. So all the water accumulates there (and drains out if u over water thru the hole).

People on that other site have been discussing modifications you could do to the hempy system. Like placing drippers for watering, adding airstones, using coco instead of vermiculite. But to be honest, i think I'm just going to stick to this basic method for now as it seems to really work. If you want more info just do a search on that other site. Holy God i missed 420.com

Ok on for a little update with some better shots of the individual girls.

I was off in my original estimation of how long theyve been flowering. They are just hitting 30 days flower today approximately. Yesterday I fed them with some superthrive and a dash of rhizotonic to hopefully help prevent stress from the light leak the other day.

Heres a group shot of the gals. Clockwise from the top, Small Hempy (which I believe to be a short indica pheno Sweet Warp, then the Large Hempy (which I believe to be a Blubonic due to its bud structure), then the DWC Blubonic, and on the far left the DWC Sweet Warp.

Please excuse the crazy placement of all the mylar, I had my big ol' roll of mylar sitting in the garage for the past 2 years, and when I went to un roll it all the sheets had stuck together, so I was only able to unroll a small portion of the mylar, which really wasnt able to completely cover the walls like i wanted to. :bat:

And a shot with the light just coming on

And heres the larger hempy girl, which I believe to be a blubonic due to its similar bud structure to my dwc blubonic gal. Similar shots but I have trouble picking which shot i like more. I have a feeling she is going to be a beauty and will be real easy to trim. Lots of colas on this supple virgin!

And the Sweet Warp in DWC! Nutes wise shes been the pickiest so far. She is going to be a BITCH to trim. Tons of leaves everywhere with really tight nodal spacing.

Thanks to all for stopping in! The next time I post some pics will be in about 10 days, after I've given all the gals a dose of Humboldt County's Gravity to see if it can help fatten these lovely virgins up. :headbange

Adios amigos!
