600w+400w vs 1k

would a 600w hps and a 400w cmh in a sun system 7 super spectrum reflector be better than a 1k or would the 1k produce more???

i doubt that many growers have run a side-by-side on those two particular lighting systems . my guess would be that the increased dispersion of two lights, coupled with the added spectrum of the cmh, would make the 2 light system more productive.

you know those lights have been out for awhile and not a lot of people use them. not saying they do not work i just have not seen a lot of threads if any using that set up.if you are going to purchase a light go with a 1000 switchable and you can alternate your spectrum.

I'm gonna guess that the 1k will do better not only in terms of results (bud quality) but also overall yield. It will also decrease versatility, since you are limited to the styles of grows you can perform due to a limited penetration depth.

You're not really getting multiple points of lighting with the "super spectrum" reflector, and the fact that the 400w will be at the same height of the 600w will limit its effectiveness.

Just my theory & educated guess.

would it work well with a 4x4 flood table sog?? how much would the yield compare to a 1k regular no sog/scrog grow??

hello ive been running a dual hood for a long time now. an i gotta say its way easyer then my friends 1k. b/c of the low heat my 600w HPS + 400w MH running at the same time. im not running any blowers an still my heat is way lower then most 1k's.

an for yields, i went from just running my 600w HPS solo, to running both 600w & 400w an yields went up big time.

plus its nice veggin an flowering without having to switch lights.

Glass- how tall do you let your plants get with good budd production? also what size area are you covering with it??

smoke i let my ladies get pretty big. id say @least 3-4 foot tall. id say my coverage is something like 4'x4' give or take a foot.....
