wow tons of reply despite my shameful noob post....

i should state im not entirly new to this, ive got tons of dvds/books and was a OG member for ages. my first successfull grow is almost done and i experimented as much as i could because i wanted to try all the different methods, i LST'd the plant until it was covered in growth tip then train it around a concave screen and currently have a nice little durban poison flowering happily under a measly 205 flouro watts.

i appreciate all the input desite the vague nature of my question. i am working out a design for a high yielding flowering chamber with a couple growing partners. myself and a friend both finishing our 1rst grows this month a science major and a buddy whos extremely handy with tools.

how does a 4X4 SOG under 2 400W hps. im going to keep a mother in 1 of the chamber of my veg box, and clones in the other chamber.

heres one thing i thought about... cut 20 clones veg/lst them all for a month and flower them under a scrog.

or cut 5 clones every 3 weeks and put them in the flower chamber so i can get the harvest of 5 plants ever little bit? is this the idea behind SOG?

more thoughs? buddy mag?

also we were sitting around shooting the shit about grow space and thought a 6X2 would waste light energy more than 4X4 cab would..

i will have more questions when we hammer out the details a bit better

I've only used a 400 in one closet 4'x2'. So i'm not gonna comment.

No disrespect intended man but you've gone from a closet 6'x2.5' with a 600w to an area 4x4 with a two 400's. lol. Plans always evolve!

you get a HALF gram per watt when your a beginner

pro's get maybe 1 gram per watt

no way you will ever achieve 2 pounds per harvest with a single closet, rofl

u can get 2 lbs per 600w it can be done.

2 scrogged plants sour nlxneville haze 5 weeks into 12 week flower!



i should mention this is a wardrobe with its doors opened out and a piece of hardboard for door. i used the inner shelf to fill the cieling piece when doors open. the tops of my buckets are built into the scrog so i just take out the timber supports to drop res and add nutes. scrog stays in place. very easy to use people often wonder how to get at the res with scrog , well this way works for me.the light will not penetrate down through the thick canopy this is very efficient light usage!

I'm assuming this is DWC non-recir?

no its actually re-circtop feeder. yeah first time with this method but have seen it before. yeah i need to drop the res for nutes but the tray stays in place and the roots dangle.(this prevents the root ball from strangling itself) i am considering the addition of a veg closet.so ill have 4 plants in total.

Im planning a setup with a 600w as well...

Ive got a cool sun 2 reflector, and that reflector will be air cooled with a 140 cfm dayton blower, extraction will be with an additional 140cfm dayton blower, with a 5,000btu air conditioner in the box as well(probally set on lowest setting, I had to add it cuz I have a tin roof and the box will be in an upstairs bedroom.

The box is going to be 3x3x5, and Im either going to use a S0G perputual harvest, putting a different row of 5 plants in 1gal grow bags every week.
My strains will be dutch passions White Widow, Mazar, and Blueberry... with bio-bizz nutrients used in the way suggested in a catalog, national garden supply I think is the catalog.
Or a 4 plant ScrOG... I haven't decided yet.

I dont mean to jack the thread or anything, but it seems like this is on topic I guess, cuz Im still pretty new and this will be my 4th grow. constructive critisism would be nice, but exchanging info with someone else that is looking to grow with a 600w light would be cool too.

4 plant scrog is too much under 600w. if done correctly.2 is ideal for space. canopy efficient is the key. weaving the buds into place so the light hits them. adding 2 plants wouldnt increase ur yield. set up a veg chamber . 400w is more than enugh for vegging 2 plants.results every 6weeks! the law here says cloning is for the factory grows! ie. headlines read "cannabis factory discovered" 600w is 600w wether over 30 clones or 2 scrogged bushes.

I have done 6 and 8 in a scrog under a 400w in a closet 2'x3.5'. I don't like too much veg time. I don't think plant numbers matter too much in terms of yeild just veg time. You could still do a perpetual scrog. Just make seperate screens for each plant.

this is an info based site.info is never unwanted. def build ur own closet bitta 2x1 and 4 sheets of hardboard with hinges for door , white paint or mylar,intake vent at bottom and hole in top for vent. very cheap very affective
