60 minute tear down

Tonite I had to tear down my entire setup, a freckin bitch.

I got a call about 8pm and a buddy of mine says "If you have anything illegal in your house, get rid of it" and that's no small event at my place.

Back story:
I have friends that race cars, motorcycles, and boats(I build them) and needless to say they walk a fine line sometimes between legal and not so legal. So one of those guys gets nabbed for hot/unregistered motorcycle parts and an unregistered Harley (not good). None of them even know I grow at all. I always kept it very discreet.
In an effort for the police to do their due diligence they look at recent associations and scroll through his caller ID and "boom" here is the hit list and I was on it. Fortunately, I run in a bunch of different circles and one happens to be a person connected deeply conected with leo. That is who called me and said my name came up on a probable search location for stolen property related to this friend of mine. Shit! ... shit!...Shit..

Down everything came lights, tables, blowers, fans...etc....in a mad dash I chopped 3 LSD that were 30 days in flower, chopped a Mazar that was 10 days away from harvest (looked awesome), trashed 20 clones of LSD and Bogbubble, trashed a Kush mother plant, everything I had going.....is gone. I disassembled everything down to it's smallest component and put in the garage as descreatly as possible. What a bitch!

Guilt by association sucks. Watch who your freinds are when you grow because for the police there is no middle ground. If they would have found my grow setup while looking for Harley stuff they would have thought they won the lottery. Looky, looky here what we found.Especially here in Texas. That's the way it goes growing in these "free" states of ours. Watch your ass my friends.

Still have an oz of Mazar stashed and all my seeds but that's it and I had to stash it somewere off site. Oh well.

So far no knock on the door but, better safe than sorry. My luck they won't ever come over here and I just trashed my whole setup for nothing. well not for nothing, potientially staying out of jail is something a real big something.

Damn, I'm sad about the whole thing. I almost couldn't bring myself to do it. I've been tacking care of my babies and jut had a hard time heartlessly chopping them down and filling trash bags, filling the car, and gettin rid of them.

That's the risk I guess we all except here in the "free" United States when we grow. I doesn't make it any better but that's the way it is.

So I guess I'm takin a break for a bit growing. That sucks its like excellent therapy for me.

Just be glad you did not have my misfortune this weekend.

My wife got so pissed about the one plant that was days away from harvest that she went and snatched out of the dumpster here at what is it 1:15am.
I didn't have the stones to go get it but she did. So maybe some parting gifts may be returning. I'll just chop and dry it. It was at 65 days and tasty.
All my other stash is safe but not here what a bitch.

It takes a tremendous amount of strength and courage to do what you are doing. If all of us could put some of that courage and strength into telling our government to change the law, and demand that they listen to us, something might change.

Are you angry enough yet to tell your lawmakers, the politicians that put you in this position in the first place, to change the laws?

Remember, they couldn't make alcohol prohibition work either, it's just a matter of time before enough people start demanding their basic human rights... and remember what a democracy is supposed to be.

It's hard for me to even articulate how angry I am.
My civil liberties are snatch away more and more every day and this is free.

I love living in America and being an American but we wholselling ourselves to the gov. What freedoms do you really have? and does the lack of those freedoms. Live and let live that's my creed. Victimless crimes drive me insane also, especially smoking weed.

Our canidates to choose from are not great. who's the lesser evil? it's hard to tell with the propaganda machine turned on both sides now.

Weed has just been so denonized for so long that no matter party is in office there will no be any national refermation of marijuana laws. The same politician setting up there and all the her is Pot is bad, reefer madness and passing laws against it, is home gettin high

Two local council members in my town are into some of my killer, but you would never know they smoke and they damn sure would't vote for a bill that legelize it

The government doesn't want us off drugs. They want us on their drugs, It's not about safety it's about profit. Instead of say Marijuana is helpfull and medicinally valid for treatment, Smoking it is the safest fastest way to injest, no side effects, easy to grow, easy to maintain.Make it illegal. Now lets make a synthesis of thc-delta-9 in a pill that does almost the same thing but has major side effects on top of. Marinol probably cost 100+million to develope just so we could buy more drugs and not grow our own pot.

Tex, I know the feeling. My g/f chopped my plants for me last week after a fight. Now I cant grow again, because I cant trust If next time shell call LEO. As I type Im sitting across from my packed bag. Maybe I take my plants too seriously, but If you chop them, Im outta here. I can get a med card in Oregon, and I know a caregiver who'll show me around town. You did the right thing. Texas jail is no fun, and Harris co. is worse than the prisions around here. A girlfreind chopping them during a fight....wow...that's insane. How did you keep from killing her?

Mine was pissed that I cut them down so quick just because someone called and said I should be ready for a knock. I told her that if this guy tells me there is going to be knock at the door, ther is going to be a knock at the door. Go figure. She couldn't sleep thinkin about that one plant.So,we went back this morning and snagged the plant that at 65 days. I ripped open the trash bag it was in, cut it at the base, and jumped in the car. My was about to cry. Took it to another locale to hang.

So, so far the loss has been 3 killer LSD's females that I just sexed and was looking for mothers, 1 Bogbubble female, 3 Bogbubbles(not sexed yet) 6 days into 12/12, 1 Orange Kush mother plant(almost thru up when I tossed her), and 20 LSD and Bogbubble rooted clones. The one mature plant I am going to salvage something out of it. Plus I have all my seeds intact and stored offsite.

It really sucks. Nowone even knew I grew and I still had to go through this crap for something so totally unrelated as fast toys(cars, boats, bikes). That's the nature of the beast I guess when you grow in state that is full of weed nazi's.

I have to speed up my timetable to get to Hawaii somehow.

Anyways, I salvaged the one plant, all my seeds, and stayed out of jail so, it's all good. I'll wait a couple of months and fire it back up or maybe a stealth outdoor grow in the meantime. It just sucks to start over.

Damn Tex, thats a horrible situation. I cant even imagine how it musta felt to have to chop all your plants...but like u said you just gotta look at the bright side. Not many people have that nice little LEO heads up like you got, and although this time it was a false alarm, gotta remember there are many people who do not get that lucky.

It is nice to have friends in diverse places and a cop that smokes and is sympathetic to smokers among other things doesn't suck at all.

I know your right about watching me if they find a bunch of grow gear in my garage. Have not got the knock so far so good.

I still have a pile of killer seeds, all the gear, and the passion. So, I'll be up in one way or another pretty quick.

damn tk that sucks, I've been getting rather paranoid about leo lately and been trying to formulate my own tear down plan, It is just really fucking sad that growing a plant can get you into so much shit... I say fuck it, i'm moving to ohio

We did not have a formal plan(me and my wife) but I recommend you do. If you don't have a lawyer picked out, get one.
Our basic plan because of the way I grow in a detached garage approx. 600 sq.ft. was for my wife to leave the house immediately and I would attempt any teardown I could depending on how much time you have. Because of the way I have the garage setup and that I lock it. It gives my wife some sort of "plausable deniablity" as far as knowing what was going on out there. So, even if they got us both her she could still play dumb.
I would at least talk to an attorney and see what all the ramafications are with growing. At least you would not have to be trying to do that from jail. That sucks. Women (at least mine)panic pretty good when you get taken down and the more of some of that quick legal shit you have figured out the better. Don't say anything oh and don't say anything without council especially if you are going to fight it under medical or religious protection. Find out what is required to qualify for either of those protections.
Don't get blind sided. At least you and your spouse should have a plan as to what you are going to do and say in the event of trouble. Find what the bond for release may be for cultivation in your state and get it set aside so your not waiting on people trying to get enough money to get you out.
Be smart, unfortunately this is against the law in most of the US and the cost is still pretty severe

hate to disagree, but im gonna.

everyone knows that no libertarian is going to be the next president even if it would be good. and given kerry's stance on med marijuana, i would say a vote for kerry is a much better idea than basically giving bush a vote by going lib. even if the candidate is better. i would bet my growroom that 90% of americans don't even know the names of any of the potential libertarian presidential candidates.

if you want libertarian govt sign up with the party and make contributions and become active. maybe when there is enough money in their pockets that they can make a decent run at president they would stand a chance. this country will remain a 2 party country until a worthy 3rd party can raise the funding to campaign on an equal ground with the dem/rep machines. not that the 4th branch of the govt would ever let that happen (media)

I have to agree with thceaser here, at least with regard to this particular election. unless you're looking for another four years of shrub and dick then kerry is the only real viable option. that being said....

while i agree contributing to the libertarian party is a noble cause i also feel that one must look at what ones primary focus is. to that end i feel that all of our interests would be better seved by contributing to the MARIJUANA POLICY PROJECT... WWW.MPP.ORG
this group has done a spectacular job in making our interests heard in washington along with effecting legislative change in several states. through grass roots lobbying efforts they have also sponsored a majority of the ballot initiatives that have had the greatest impact on advancing our cause. state by state my friends and brothers in arms. the more states that embrace medical marijuana, the weaker the federal governments position becomes. they have declared war on us. we must fight back with the only weapon that they take any notice to....financial support.

currently, mpp working on med. mar. bills in connecticut, vermont, arkansas, new york, and montana.
on the federal level, mpp helped to draft and is vigorously soliciting support in congress for what is known as "the truth in trials act" a federal bill that would remove the federal gag order that prevents defendants from even uttering the words "medical marijuana" at trial thus effectively denying patients thier constitutional rights to a fair trial.
also, measures in alaska, and nevada would remove completely the threat of arrest for responsible adults who use marijuana, even recreationally, as well as establish regulations making marijuana taxable and thereby a boon to the economies of the respective states.
