Okay I have pretty good circulation in my res's but I will let them get bit low and check ec.

By the way what are you using for checking EC and PH? I have been looking at Apera's meters. I am tired of bluelabs shitty design over the years. It has been years and they have done nothing to improve it. I have broke my last one. They are like the apple of fuckin ph meters. Built to break, but really good lol ;\ I really want to switch. The fact it is 300 bucks and still not water proof blows my mind. 0 innovation over there at that company.

God I love posts like this lol. Thanks. I have quite a few probes laying around work fine just no main unit so I think I will try to do as you say. When I look back at how much I spent on blue lab over the years it is well over a grand. I buy $200 dollar hand held units usually but always have the back up pens to double check every once in awhile when I get paranoid. This seems much better route. I made the mistake of forgetting my unit on top of my res the other day and it over filled destroying the unit. Another 200+ bucks out the window 3rd hand held multi one from them ruined by dumb shit like that. I swear their pens are the only thing worth buying because they don't break by simple drops or water damage.

I wasnt a fan of older hanna meters. had some bad luck with their ph pens 15 years ago an it stuck with me till few years back.

but about 3 years ago i tried the hanna growline combo meter ph & ec/tds. Absolutely love it!!! i bought 3 over the years to keep in different areas. 2 of the 3 are still actively working and correct. the one that broke i found my wife using the ph probe as a stirring stick after a ph adjustment. the wires going into the probe are loose an gives inconsistent readings when the wire is moved. but the probe is replaceable

so this is the new version for $259. the new version is water proof, an has a probe conditioning meter to see probe life. the ph portion on ALLL meters looses stability an should be refreshed or reconditioned every so often.

I am uncertain if the lcd has a back light. i would like that option as sometimes i take readings in the dark. but i guess cant have everything

order the rubber shock case, use a ziplock plastic bag an wrap the meter, then place wrapped meter in shock proof rubber case. MINT!! stays clean an very easy to sterilize.

Ok so it is pretty clear at this point the grow is 100% percent success. 97% perfection. I'll chill on the mpk a little more like I said last time. Chem 91 and it's s1's are the hardest plants I have ever had to keep happy. Nspecta says same thing and so have all my buddies. In flower they are only slightly tip burned. In veg the very beginning of transplant can look rough but a week later they should look perfect @4 g of mega crop a gallon. I'll figure out jacks for veggin them in the future. Forum cut, SFV, Tahoe, Cherry Pie OG, oriented things all handled the nutes like a champ. Very, very, minimal tip burn. All but perfectionists would consider it a perfect grow. Most master growers would be thrilled especially given a large seed run and multiple genes going on.

I have had 0 res cooling on multiple res's just using Hypogrow sparingly every Sunday. If I followed directions and applied every 3 days like I will be doing next time I may have a clear res. For the last two weeks I had run out and have been running it with just Flying Skull enzymes. Everything is happy as hell but the look of my res's. You can see algae and some weird shit some slimy feel. Water is cloudy. Temps have been steady 81-90. I run cobs so don't mind higher temps.

I feel this is significant savings for any size grow and will continue down this path.

Huge thank you to everyone for helping me completely relearn CoCo and maintain viability as a business in a very competitive market. I will come back and post pics at some point.

Apera > Bluelab

Very impressed. Even the instructions are better...laminated quick reference sheet too? Awesome =) Comes in a case and it is actually useful as well. Bluelab pen gave same reading as Apera pH pen. Given the abuse and the age of that bluelab pen I impressed it is still so accurate. I constantly let it dry out over 6+ months, but did use storage fluid a lot too. Thing that also is a negative with Bluelab though is Apera's probe is replaceable and doesn't break the bank. I even like the cap better. Just better on all things. A little pissed I was loyal for so long. Never should have bought any of their 200$+ meters.

Greisinger GPH114 since... dunno, maybe more than 20 years, got to change for a new one only once because i crashed the old one...
standard probe, multi calibrations things
he's not that fast but very accurate once correctly calibrated

Is there a reason for using the nanoluxx dual hoods vs 2 - 630w? Love this grow so much good insight, keep up the hard work.
More cost effective. One dual is cheaper then 2 separate 630s and also half of the 240 volt plugs were needed too. Thanks for stopping in.
Got a couple pics of sundae driver getting beastly at about 3.5 weeks after a heavy defoliation. Also veg looking bushy too about to be flipped. ✌️

What’s up guys? I’ve had a busy week at work. Got stuck trimming.
So there’s lots of growers worried about product failing state required testing. Heavy metals have been the topic of discussion among my homies. It’s been said that coco coir contains levels of cadmium due to being processed with sea water. Also I’m sure some nutes may contain a bit too, honestly I don’t know. Recently I spoke with a grower that uses canna coco and failed due to cadmium. He didn’t say what nutes and there maybe more to the story. But that’s pretty troubling either way. Have you guys heard about? Please share your thoughts. So I decided Afew weeks ago to see how jacks and Mother Earth pure coco tests.

Hi Eric. Thanks for posting this. What were those testing results for? The Mother Earth? Jacks? or your final product?

Cool, thank you! I'm having cadmium failures using Mother Earth and Veg+Bloom and trying to figure out where its coming from. I've been using VB for years without issue but the Mother Earth is new to me. Just sent some coco to the lab yesterday for analysis. I know the water is clean

E what are you using for veg lights?

My cobs butcher my vegging plants no matter how high I puttem it seems. If I pull them away for a few days they go back to perfect. This has me hesitant on buying any form of LED for veg. I am looking at LEC's and Flouro's again as a result. Just curious as to what you and others are having good experience with. Cobs seem too damn strong even for the big guys vegging. Flower is 0 problem though.

What up 40? I’m using the same fixtures that I have in bloom. The nanolux 600x2 de. Out of 9 lights in veg I run 3 mh bulbs.other 6 are hps. I start at 50% power which is 300 watts. At the end of 4 weeks I try to be around 70-75% for flip. I know what you mean if I push it too much the plants get alittle bitchy lol. ✌️

dim them then instead of just hanging the light higher?

I will look into some dimmers and see if it doesn't cause any risk. I question whether it is intensity at all though. 6 inch clones do not like it much. It is only 400 par above them which makes me scratch my head. As soon as I move them to far perimeter though after 2 or 3 days they are perfect again. It is almost as if spectrum or something is the cause. I don't adjust feeding or anything when I move them and I definitely am not giving them more nutes. I only see this in veg, but also see it on veg plants at 2 and 3 feet tall. I move them out and they go perfect again. Mean while I stare at how perfect my plants are under T5's....
